Gulllakewake - we can make that length for you, not a problem. We've made guide pads as long as 60".
don't have a wine color, but silver dust, black or white pads might look nice. If you need to get a hold of us, our email is: info@screaminsacs.com or (916) 879-5209.
Take care- Sabrina |

My Supra came with guide pads, but it took no time at all before they were all torn up. I guess one too many times loading my boat on the trailer after dark? Anyway, rather than spending $40 every year for new pads I came up with a more durable solution that works well and looks good.
I bought some 3" o/d PVC pipe at Home Depot and cut it to size. I added a cap to the top and glued it with plumber's cement. Next, I painted the top cap black (no worries about paint chipping because the boat never touches the caps). Then I bought some black marine carpet (the same kind you would use for the runners on your trailer) and I cut the carpet to wrap perfectly around the PVC. I used Gorilla glue to glue the carpet to the PVC. I clamped it over night to let it set.
Now picture this, I have guide poles that are carpeted in solid black and look great. They don't get torn up when the boat hits them like the pads do. The pads don't roll very well on the occasion when your rub rail hits them. That's why they get torn up. By using a 3" PVC pipe for guides, the PVC pipe tends to roll or turn when your boat hits them.
The whole project was very easy to do and cost less than $20. Just a thought.... _________________ "I'm not a professional wakeboarder, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night". |
