New Board.

I am thinking of a Watson, Shane, PS3, Substance, and an Absolute. I am 13, 5'9" and about 120lbs. I NEVER go into the flats. I will definately demo the boards, but i want to narrow down my list first. Any suggestions?

I lied in my profile. I thought i was getting one, but then i got sponsored by a boardshop that only sells LF and CWB, no Gator. I should probably change that.

if your sponsored, they should have no porblem with giving you any demo you want. to say the obvious, the watson and ps3 are improved versions of the substance for one reason or another (yes phil's old board was 98% the substance) and should ride a little better, land a little better, but nothing drastically different. basically 2 new twists on one proven old shape. have fun deciding.

Stewie, this year i'm probably gunna buy a LF PS3 or the CWB Transcend... or possibly the watson... those are my picks...

out of those boards, i like the shane best. im just judging by looks though, so dont take my comment too seriously

Too seriously? Or not seriouse at all. I'm pretty sure if it were based on looks he could decide by himself. But, out of those boards from everyone that i know that has ridden the Substance has liked it.

I rode the PS3, It had good pop. The board is weird though, it is way fast. I rode it finless, if that means any thing to you. I can say that the only reason I rode this board is b/c I had a real long night and when it was time to load up the only thing I grabbed was my camera to get some shots of Alex Hamrick.

Oh Yeah, it seened like all of the landings were really weird.

Honestly man, I would go with the Absolute. It is all about straight up pop. I've ridden the Substance but not the others. The Absolute blows it away. I ride like you. No into the flats, just real vert. The Absolute Platinum is by far my favorite shape, the new '06 is incredible.
