| What board offers the most superior pop? I know this is basically going to turn into a huge immature argument. But I figure the opinion of the people using the boards is better than what company descriptions say the board is supposed to do. Let the shoosting begin!

Negative on the two above posts.
The board with the most pop is the one with the rider who knows how to use it strapped in.
If you want "pop" without technique, try the Parks. Good luck landing.
MY ADVICE: find a board that works all around, not one that has the "most pop".

Ocean Rider, have you ridden the watson board, or are you lying about that in your profile, too? the reason why i ask is because from what ive seen it gives a bunch more pop than the substance.
parks has great pop.
cwb transcend has great pop.
but i liked my double up nelson's pop more than either of those.
the watson looks like it has great pop, too.

| Definately not the LF Rhythm. 2 inches of continuous rocker does not give a ton of pop. I'm all about my Absolute, my style is way relaxed with a big vertical kick, the Absolute does that perfectly.

CWB Transcend definately get you up there but it is a slow tracking board for me.

you have to remember, the wake has a significant role in pop as well.

| K-dub, What's so hard about the landing on the Parks? I don't like the landing on the 05 Parks but 03 to 04 I've never had a problem. I'd say it's easier than a lot of the boards I've been on.

The Watson pops relatively similar to the Substance, but it felt alot faster than the Substance to me. I wasn't a big fan, really liked the Bonifay, but it's not got the "biggest" pop of any new board. I'm pretty sure that rocker has alot to do with it, and Murray's new '06 board has the biggest rocker out there now 3.30", there are some others that are close to that though.

King of the Tigers, I said it.
It's not really about the landing, more the erratic takeoff that the "unskilled" or unexpecting rider gets.
That said:
I've seen guys go huge on boards that most wouldn't consider to have lots of "pop".
Technique first, board second.

A wider profile board, laid up stiff with less rocker will have more pop. The rocker thing may sound counter intuitive compared to what most companies say. But years ago I worked at Lonestar Waterski school and connelly would send several of the same board with diferent rocker lines and the flatter ones always had the most spring. The only problem is you eventually had to land and landings on flat boards will rock your world.
But it really is all in the technique. Randy Harris and Kieth Lyman both ride boards that are know for their control and not pop. But those guys get up.

Parks will give you great pop thats unpredictable and hard to control. If you want real great booting potential with a smooth controlled release off the wake go for the Transcend, top board. And it loves to sick solid landings too.. never any slippage .

I think edge hold has a lot to do with pop. So far I've liked the pop best from my Double Up Murphy ( Nelson ) and I felt real good on a 02 HL Belmont 142. The Belmont was too big for me though. Felt like I was turning a tank. I want to try a 02 or 03 136 Belmont.

LoudonTN, your right, 06 Murray is outrageous. a whole half inch bigger or more than boards like the substance which i think is around 2.6

You are all wrong. Anything with the name Parks on it will pop the best. You could spraypaint Parks on a man hole cover, strap boots on it, and F'ing pop better than anything else.
Rock on Parks! and rock on Hyperlite!

| I really don't get what the big deal is about the "unpredictability" of the Parks? I remember hearing that it bucks like a mule from dozens of people on this forum. I finally demoed one (I was practically forced to because there was no way I wanted on that lousy board) and was amazed at the pop and the lack of unpredictability. I got an 03 Parks this summer and love it.

King of the Tigers, its because you know how to ride a wakeboard. the parks is only unpredictable if you dont have your progressive edge down.
