Krazydaigo - change props. I ride in a gravel pit only 600 yds long so this is a hudge deal for me. I run Supra's with Gravity Bags (2200lbs) but same applies. I used to have the same problem on my 01 & 04. Then on my 05 the factory offered a wakeboard prop upgrade for those of us using the Gravity Bags. What a difference! To confirm it, last year I bent the prop and while it was in for repair my dealer loaned me a standard prop. It felt like a dog and it took 200 yds for pp to lock on. Just as soon as my wakeboard prop was repaired we were back and pp can lock on within 100 yds. With Supra I THINK the wakeboard prop is 0.5 bigger in diameter but 2 lower on pitch. The Engine RPM between the 2 props in my boat is when you punch it, the standard prop only goes to 3200 RPM and the wakeboard prop hits 4000 RPM. This prop is not to be used in a non weighted boat because it can over-rev easy. Get with your BU crew and get the right prop. Good Luck

Propping down is definately the way to get some more out of the hole performance cheaply. We went down 2 pitch sizes on our current boat. It's like changing your rear end ratio. You will lose some top end speed. There are alot of articles and info out about this. Your RPMS will go up, as well as your gas consumption slightly. More revs = more gas = quicker up on plane. Just be careful when not pulling you don't over rev.

I wouldnt think 1000 lbs would make too much of a different over stock. Maybe try putting more weight in the front of the boat as well. This makes a huge difference in planing for my sanger and if you plane quicker, it will also help you with the gas issue a little
