Dealership owners!!!

Are there any dealership owners out there??? I am starting a dealership for next year and wanted to get input/advice from anyone that has done it before. Is there anything that you guys wish you knew before you started. Anything helps, I am just trying to do this right and figured wakeboarder.com would probably come through with some good advice.

you could try phoning a dealership and ask them for info.. if your intrested.

Anthony Csogor, what dealer in there right mind would give out helpful information to a new competetor to help him start up? thats like giving a knife to someone whos about o kick your ass!!!

My family owned the largest boat dealership in Oklahoma until we recently sold out at the begining of the year. Ask away.

What line(s) are you carrying, you could call other existing dealers outside of your territory for advice. Afterall, these are the people that will know and understand your market and customers needs.

I'm going to be carrying Epic Wake Boats so I can't really call anyone with that line quite yet.

Epic boat company makes a pretty cool looking boat.

What you need to remember is, How many boats can they get you for the year?
How much advertising do they do?
and
How fast can they help you with warranty issues.

Yea, the Epics should be awesome this year. Luckily they are doing a great job on advertising, and marketing the boat. I think the problem might be, I won't be able to get as many boats as I could sell. They are pretty on top of things though and I'll think they'll come through great. Also, I'll just have to wait and see on the warranty issue, I'll never know until an issue arises.

Do you know who is actually building the boats?

from what I understand, they are being built out of canada. The company that is contracting the actual production of the boat uses infusion molding of the fiberglass (which is very rare) I'm not sure of the company name though I just know a little bit about them.
