I picked up my new ride from the dealership. Makes me want to get flames on the truck. The 340 HP ETX sounds sweet! I really like the looks of the new style bemini and its real stable

That bimini seems pretty high...good for head clearance but does it actually give much shade?

Great combo of boat and truck. The flames dont look half bad on the red. imagine them on a blue boat or green or something, then they'd look stupid. i really like the bimini.

is the speaker bar u have, have the led "S" in the bar???

Nice Chirs!

Concerning the new Bimini, I was skeptical at first as to how much shade could it really give, etc. But, after spending some time in the '06's, I've come to find it's super functional. Being 6'2", I'm tired of jabbing my head (or neck) on bimini's and speakers. And it offers alot of shade!

I thought about trying to retrofit one to my '05, but it looks like there are some snaps integrated into the tower. Not 100% sure on how, how many or correct location for the snaps, but I'm sure it could be figured out.

Yeah..nothing to the snaps..we have to mess with it a lot when we powder coat the towers. Just drill the pilot hole and screw the snap to the tower. There are 6 snaps total on the tower.

Well I got the first 3 hours break-in on the motor today. I dont think the weather got up to 50F. My Daughter, Sarah, 15, drove about half the time. The front tounau cover with the heater makes all the difference in the world. Very Happy I really like the new dashboard! I was thinking about a tricked out convertable top that snaps to the windshield and the tower, and following the lines of the windshield/tower. What do you think? Soon a the weather breaks we'll ride.

Nick gets first Ride behind the 06. The perfect pass worked great. Im using the longer 600lb bags in the rear with the GG bag upfront. Wake was great but the 15mph cross wind gave us problems today. This boat is the best driving wakeboard boat ever made Smile

ATXParrothead - The rear bags were full. Those rear bags are what is used as factory front bag and are longer but not as tall as the ones I ran last year. They extend past the rear locker into the rear seating area by about 2 feet. The front GG bag was only about 3/4 full when I turned off the pump because I thought I heard it overflow on drivers rear side. I forgot its in the front - We havnt had a boat in 6 weeks.

Wakeplate was at 1/2. Last year we ran at 1/4 all year. I think those longer rear bags helped move the weight more forward because even at a 1/2 the hole shot was better. I cant wait to see the wake with the front bag full Smile

DIGGS - Nick rides all the way out so what's that 75feet @ 22mph

Yea I got the 24 with the same bimini and heater. That bimini is the only way to go! I am 6'2" also and I hate knocking my head on everyone else's speakers and bimini top including my old boat! 600lbs in the back of the 21V? Nice, I would like to see that wake. I am toying with upgrading from the stock 400lb bags to the 600's but I have the sunsport so the rear right bag would not go under the seat it would L up in the right compartment. Any suggestions?

Cool.. Thanks h20bug...
Your front ballast should drain in the back on the port side. There should be two holes there and the front one should be for your front bag... let me know if they changed that on the 06's

Gene3x- I really like the layout in the 24 sunsport as opposed to the 24 SSV. That flip up cooler/step is THE BOMB! I will never have a boat without a heater. So what do you think about a clear or sunbrella convertible snap to windshield and front tower legs for those cold days?

So I just looked up the 05 SC ballast chartl. Im running the 16x16x70 bags in the back which is taller but same width & length as your factory rear in the 24V so you could upgrade to bigger but Im not the one to ask about proper setup on that boat. Id call Brisco, Matt Brown or McFly on that one. Im really sold on the wakeboard prop with heavier ballast.

See Chart Below.

2005 Ballast Bag Chart
BOAT FRONT BAG REAR BAG
Launch 21 16x16x70 104876 TANK
Launch 21 V 16x16x70 104876 16x16x30 x2 104875
Launch 22 SSV W/T 10x16x70 104877 16x16x30 x2 104875
Launch 22 SSV PP 16x16x70 104876 16x16x30 x2 104875
Launch 24 SSV 19x19x88 105129 10x16x70 x2 104877

104875--277 lbs.
104876--650 lbs.
104877--400 lbs.
104878--270 lbs.
105129--1150 lbs.

When weighted correctly it is awesome! I am not to big on the extra clear plastic windshield going up the tower. I think that there is plenty of windblock as it is with a heater for me. Plus it might look a little weird. I am not as concerned about looks as I am functionality but I know that for most wakeboarders here their look is just as, probably more important. So for function yea I have to upgrade the bags. I think I have decided to go with the Fly High 20 x 20 x 50 = 650# for each side. They seem to fit perfectly in the rear compartment without giving me the L-shape. I do like the extra ice chest but there is not much insulation to it so I use it for a trash can, which is perfect to!

I got to ride first time today. Water 52 Air 65 and sill above our 100F rule (water + air temps gotta be above 100f) Wake was Great. Perfect pass really works good too. Here is a pic of Nicks ride today.

Here is the 2x10 DOWNFIRE SEALED SUB BOX. Its 24x12x12 Clear Acrylic. Still has protectant covers makes it green for now.

The regular 2x10 will not fit unless it is raised about 2 inches because of the hull starting to curve in toward the center so I picked the DOWN FIRED box and modified the right rear corner of the box to make it fit.

You must not have driven an 06 VLX. Apples and oranges.

I have to say I wish I had taken a ride behind the new VLX before I bought my Sunsport but overall you cannot beat the amount of performance and options you get for the price when it comes to the Supra. I probably would have still come back to the Supra. Very Happy

Damn Treetop is throwing down a challange. Bring the BU and the crew to the 06 Indiana NWL Tournament Series and let the riders decide. Are you in, Treetop?
