Any thoughts on the Centurion Lightning C4 wake vs. Sanger V215 and Malibu vride? I am going to demo the Centurion tomorrow and am wondering if the hull really makes a better wake than the other two. Also, is triple balaast a necessity to get a good wake?

wake is very nice.....when weighted properly. Centurions like a litte more weight in the rear than most boats due to their deep v. The triple tanks are nice. I rarely ever use more except for when it's just me and my wife. Need extra to balance the boat. You can due with out them and just throw sacs in the rear but I prefere the ease of flipping the switches. Boat handle chop and d-ups very solid. I wopuld say its probably gonna be the steepest out of the three. Sangers wakes are very nice tho as well great boat just a little more rampy.

A lot of dealers carry them without the rear tanks in them. The factory tanks are not too expensive and can be easily added. I am installing a set for a customer in a regular lightning. About $850 installed. I will be working on a "how to" if anyone is interested.

I havent ridden a centurion wake but from people I know who own them say they have a wider wake but they seem to like it. To me it looks exactly like the shape of an I/O (doesnt have the standard rooster tail of an inboard) but I havent ridden it. Maybe its better than it looks.
