mine ended TODAY. It was in the high 50's air temp. and I thought that I would be able to ride. Well I did, in a full wetsuit, but I seriously thought my toes were going to fall off. It was miserable. no more riding

DavidHoff, word. However, I did roll out today, with just a riding l/s shirt, and it was pretty nasty cold. I think it was like 75 or some crap, but with the wind it hurt. Time to bust out the gooru and go another month. I usally quit around december when it starts hitting 50's more often, and head up to Tahoe for snowboarding for a month.

Our last day will probably be somwhere in between tomorrow and thanksgiving. Its been getting down into the 40's. but this week its suppose to hit back up into the 60-70*. we just play it by ear. if the sun is shining and its above 60* were launchin the boat you never know around here.

I ride on and off throughout the winter. Here in Nothern Cali we sometimes get 75 degree days in december. Last year I rode 2 days after christmas. I have yet to bust out the wetsuit though, I'm trying to go until the water turns which will be sometime in the next couple weeks.

I rode yesterday, temp was about 72. I'm looking to get a wetsuits soon to extend my season.
About what temp do you guys start riding with shorty/spring suits or a full wetsuits?
Do the heater shirts help much?

Rode yesterday...the water here in VA went from 70 to 60 degrees in 1 week! Its been lows around 30-32 every night and highs between 48-55. Yesterday the boat thermometer was reading 58 degree water at first but it got up to low 60s by the end of my set and air of 58-60. I was in a shorty and still managed to last a 40 min set and wakesurfing! I would go longer but with the temps getting into the lower 30s, we have to winterize. I would ride as long as the air and water are both above 50. If today isnt my last day, next time im up (2 weeks) will be. Fortunately, they are saying todays high is supposed to be around 70!

Our lake has a damn and pretty much every thanksgiving they open it up and let the lake drain. That pretty much spells the end of the seaosn my way. Anywhere else is a long drive for cold cold water...

i dont quit ever. i hate quiters and feel they should be all shot in the face with rubber bullets untill they cry. then the rubber bullets should be switched to real ones because nobody likes a crybaby.

we're done in NoVA...been a couple weeks since it's been nice enough to even be on the water (not to mention in the water). Just started the winterizing yesterday
Broke out the skateboard for the first time all summer...and busted my a$$
Good luck to those of us affected by winter.

Bummer you guys. Man, out here in Central Cali, it's still hittin low 80's, high 70's during hte day with little wind. This is still true for today (Halloween). In fact, I'm headin out in a couple of days. But, I'm still gonna break down and buy either a wetsuit or a drysuit eventually.
