So I thought this would be a good thread.

My family has been asking for a xmas and birthday list, so I thought I would turn to you all for help.
Just some back ground first year boat owner
05 v-ride it is basic tower no wedge it has ballast and we also already own enough fat sacs.
I am looking for affordable ideas to ask for.
Board racks and speakers are in the works but to expensive to ask for.
I was thinking
orbital buffer
small shop vac
Navi light to mount on top of tower
gas cans
Bumpers

Any other ideas???????

For small stuff...

-Coast Gaurd kit
-Big hand light
-Tool kit
-Guide pole covers (If you don't already have them)
-Ropes and handles (Maybe a surf rope?)

Just a couple ideas of what I keep in my boat...

toolkit for the boat
binding lube holder for transom
spare tire for trailer
nice dock lines (you can have your name / reg number / etc sewn into some)
new anchor w/ chain and rope
babe's boat care kit
marine binoculars
Q-beam

I'd rather have one good odd size vest, xxl, small, teen, whatever you do not have. I have lots of cheap vests that now sit in the garage.

if you go at night at all or close to dark, go for a few LED lights to put around.

I'd add a hand pump for the gas cans. No spillage

Separate tool kit specific for your boat. Small enough box to store in a compartment, but with enough of the right tools to get yourself out of trouble.

Or a small tool box +...

Gift Certificate to West Marine - Because Home Depot/Lowes doesn't have some marine tools
and
Gift Certificate to Home Depot - Because West Marine is a rip off for tools.

You don't need a hand pump, just a piece of vinyl tubing. One end in gas can, other in tank. Put your hand/rag around the tubing going into the can, then SQUEEZE the can, physics will do the rest.
