Very Cool! I totally dig that fiberglass platform. The built in transom guard, its about time someone thought of that!

Can't say that silvery blue vinyl does much for me, but none the less slick looking boat.

The platform/transom guard is a good idea. The interor is too shiny. I like the air inlets at the base of the wimdows.

Can't wait to see wake shots & hear about proposed MSRP.

That platform is huge! I'm not so sure about the candy stipe interior though.....unique....I dig the color combo, just not the stripes - looks a bit 80's ish.

Not sure on price. But the 23' Pro V are running 42-46k well equipped. My guess the wake should be what most are after. Narrower than the 23' Pro V and with the adjustable wake plate should fine tune to mosts liking.

I second the ugly!! What were they thinking on the interior??? Rolling Eyes That gets my vote for the ugliest interior made for a boat! I give all those seams in the stitching two years before they start coming apart. Bad idea putting the cup holders in the vinyl in the bow area. MC tried that in my old X-10, they didn't work so well.

The Transom saver is a great idea. Too bad it's only on the fiberglass platform though.

So how many boat companies are coming out with 20 foot boats this year? Are we going to see a trend from the 23-25 foot boats that are nothing but pigs into the 20-21 foot boats that actually handle well and are more fuel efficient? I guess we'll see.

Eric Golsan, hopefully they will come in low 40's with a good amount of accessories.

Guess we will have to wait until boat show time to find out all the details.

Mainly. Whoever came up with that design needs to be sent back to the 70s. Also I don't like the tower either. I think it doesn't look very sturdy without some sort of back supports and I don't like the long swooping design. My favorite towers are the classic FCT and the towers on the previous X-2 ('01-'02 X-star).

Also while the transom guard is functional the implementation is about as ugly as you can get IMO. It looks like they strapped a bib on the back to catch any baby food that might fall on it. I'd take a strip of gatorgrip over that monstrosity.

Sharp lookin' boat on the exterior. The interior looks to be set up well, but I can't get past all the fat sac-lookin silver! It looks like it could get hot and sort of resembles a pool float.

But, the boat looks sharp and is my favorite color.

Wakebrad, I think if I were buying the wood platform would be the chosen option.

Then a quick call to Chris to get a strip of the grip.

From what I have seen so far, those towers do pretty well. I'm sure you could order it will the Chubby from PF instead.

I am really curious to hear about (and see) the wake.

some info from a buddy who owns a calabria!

tdc_worm wrote:
i talked to calabria's owner a couple of weeks back. those upholstery panels that look black/gray in the pictures are actually supposed to be carbon fiber in appearance.... apparently the pics dont do them justice...

updates include:

new dash
dual gas fills
adjustable wake plate
one piece windshield

the 20' boat was designed to fit on those lakes in CA with a 20' limit.... supposedly the full sized pro V is going to have a new interior this year...

thanks Chavez. (unless you consider wb.com porn, i'm doing nothing wrong. Laughing )

Now for the boat.
Interior: Colorful
Helm: Nice Isotta wheel...kinda reminds me of another boat company.
Hull: Looks just like every other Calabria
Winshield: kinda reminds me of same said "other" boat company Laughing
Swim Step: cool idea, but HUGE!

My prediction: It's still going to be really rare to see a Calabria on the water around here.

That tower will need to grow on me.

I don't get the dash design. Got nice sleek pod style small gauges and then have a flat ass plastic panel with no depth to it right behind it... Ugg.

Interior kinda looks like a hamburgular jail suit.

I've got foggles on now though.

The swim deck seems to be mounted very high. I would like to see how far above the water it sits.

That "Colorful" interior comes in a close second to this

pilot_ryder, given what I know about Calabria, they will allow for just about any conceivable vinyl color combination.

randomhero, thanks, I just had an epileptic seizure.

As far as interior and exterior colors, Calabria will pretty much do anything you want. They have patterns and you can pick any color combination you want. I am not sure why manufacturers are using metallic vinyl colors in their interiors. I noticed that on MC and Malibu also. I think simple is best.

I think they took lessons from NAW on the exterior, sometimes less is more..

anyone have dimensions on width? 92" to 96" should throw a sweet wake

the interior is gawdy & left me thinking of this..

Do the new pro-v's have the hydaulic wakeplate now or is it just the pro v 2? Any idea if that took care of the porpoising? Have they added more weight to the pure vert system or is it still 700#? Is the new boat actually a 20 footer? Calabria included the swim platform when they advertised the length of the Pro V. When it's actually only 21' - 4". Any pics of the Pro V's?

I agree with NAW about the pool float resemblence. Looks pretty smooth otherwise. Is it really 20' or is it just advertised that way?
