|
|
Just wondering if anyone has tried mounting their can speakers on TOP of the tower, provided there was rigid enought mounts?
I know that this is probably just asking for trouble, such as broken bolts, etc, but was just wondering, since my bimini is strapped to my rear cross member of my Monster Tower. I am thinking of making my own speaker cans, and will probably just make longer mounts, so the speakers can hand down a little further, but then it may interfere with the bimini when it is opened up..

There is absolutly no reason why you shouldn't mount them up the way. The only thing to watch out for is low bridges, garaging etc. Maybe that isn't an issue.
I hope your boards are in the board racks for photographic purposes only!!! _________________ Wakeboarding is so Kool in Ireland! |

Ok, thanks.
Yeah, I just pulled out of the lake, and took the pictures, before breaking down my setup. _________________ Be an organ donor! My father is alive today because of kind souls that donate life... |

| Vampyre, You're going to run into problems with the rope getting snagged if a rider pulls too far out, or when you're bringing the rope to your rider. |

Bowen, Yeah the same thing happened with one of our racks. If you mount those bessies on top, make sure you pay extra attention to them. With a Monster mounting could be a challenge.

I have a budy with Centurion factory tower and he has had a set on top for 1.5 yrs. No issues with any rope snags. It does kinda lok like mickey mouse ears though. |

| I originally had mine on top. most of the time if the rider cut way out, the rope would get caught under the housing. also looked like MM ears. |

I have 2 6x9s on top of my tower.. it works fine.. the rope doesnt come to snagging. I am about 6 feet tall and the problem is id be slamming my head into them all the time and the bimini doesnt fit with them on. They work out perfect on the top. _________________ Its only funny till someone gets hurt, Then its halarious |

Cool, thanks for the Pic. I may mount them on top now, maybe on the front bar. I have all winter to dick around with it.
No subs in my boat, (at this time) _________________ Be an organ donor! My father is alive today because of kind souls that donate life... |
