In Wakeboard Magazine?

How many of you have actually been in Wakeboarding Magazine? The first months I started riding I sent in a letter about Trampolines. I also sent in a picture of me with my first big air. Not only did they respond to my letter (no smartass remarks either) but they printed the picture next to the article. My husband is still paying off the bet that I would never be in the Mag..........Boy was he shocked when he saw it...........heheheh It was years ago tho (October of 1997) and I have not missed one single issue ever since.

I've been in it once or twice for the WICed Fest. I've also had some photos I've taken published in there. It's so funny how it's such a small community that a crappy rider like me makes it into the mag. Guess, it was more for my event than my performance though.

I was in one of the magazines (not specifically wbm) because I was asked to write a letter for them. I wrote them a fairly serious letter with one little sarcastic remark at the end and that stupid joke was all they commented on. I thought that was shitty because I was actually asked to write it, so it was a favor. They are all about empty promises and broken hearts.....but life goes on kids, life goes on. man, I would totally curse-type right now, but it really isn't the time nor the place....wait, it's definitely the time.....

No offense jrock, but I think it was a different jennifer that won the jacket. i distinctly remember someone else making a comment about a girl from tahoe (or wherever you're from) and kind of thinking it was you from the message board (you did confirm this). The jennifer that actually won the jacket wasn't from that area. Anyway, if you are sure you were supposed to get a jacket, write them a letter.

I was in Wakeboarding Mag once. Also in the letters section. it was actually my mom that wrote a letter telling the crew at the mag about how happy my brother and I were with the pylon my parents put in our old I/O. She included a picture of me sitting behind the whell of our boat "Seaweed Sal" anmd it was published. I think that was may of 2000.

I was supposed to be in the last issue of wakeboarding magazine for a Boarders-Paradise ad. It ended up not panning out. But my frined was in it for his wakeboarding school. That was a trip seeing him in there.......

I've been in there twice. Both times in the background for the Vans Tripple crown stop in Pensacola. It is not much, I was just supprised that it happened two years in a row.

I had a full page shot on the contents page in the august 2002 issue and a
full page shot in july 1999. I'm suposed to have a shot in next months alliance and I had a shot in alliance in august 2001. I'm also in 3 or 4 ads for nice bindings this year.

Ahh, well the person that won was named "Jen" and there wasnt' any address listed because it was sent via e-mail. The other one was "jennifer" from lake tahoe, california. That one kid had asked you if you were in the mag and I am assuming he thought you were the second one (because it listed where that person was from). Anyway, perhaps they expected you to get in touch because they didn't have your address or something (since the letter was sent via e-mail).
