DavidHoff, it's not jealousy.
Wakeboarddrumma, no. good point though. i just hate seeing people that can't go outside the wake with a wakeboarding-specific boat. it's just me.
sorry if i sounded like a dick, i didn't mean to at all.

I'd like to add......I don't like to see a vlx, san, or x2/xstar pulling tubers around all day b/c that boat has so much potential, but it's their boat so who cares, maybe they'll give me a pull

2_TWO_WAKE, Sounds like an idela boat choice to me.
Plenty of space, good quality, GREAT wake etc... and good re-sale when you do come to sell it on.
have you looked at many other boats? the Nautique 211 may also be worth looking at if its quality you want.
Mike
p.s just a small point, if you could knock caps lock off in future posts... it doesn't bother me so much but i know it annoys a few guys on the forum here who are sticklers for grammer and correct spelling.

Sorry, but I wouldn't drop too much coin on an "out fitter".
Been hunting and camping in the Colorado mtns too many years to bother with REI stuff.
But, yes. It sounds like a fair price.

| That sounds like a great deal to me. I was looking at a closeout '05 with the same options minus the heater and power wedge and was quoted 52k.

Take your MSRP and back 10% off for a good deal (everybody can get 10% off) and the closer you get to 15% off the better. Keep your negotiation friendly, your dealer will be your new 'wife' for a while.
I haven't seen anyone get more that that unless it was a demo blow out. I bought a 05 VLX this past spring and did tons of homework on it and the numbers above tend to be the norm. Enjoy it, Malibu makes a great boat!

i got off the phone with my dealer today, and he came up with a total price of 58,697.00 out the door......that includes sales tax (3315.42), registration fee's for the boat and trailer, spare tire for trailer and boat cover of course......even a full gas tank at delivery....am I getting bent over or should i sign the deal?

If your getting all that I would say so, but you should add on Perfect Pass Wakeboard edtion. It will save alot of learning and arguments between the wife and you or who ever else will be driving.
I just purchased a 05 Vride and your price is very fair!
Tell them to add the PP and get you out the door for 58,697.00 and you got a great boat.

I think the new Bu's are coming with their own "PP" as a standard option, but it's just for Malibu's.
I also think thats a pretty good price. Buy it!

the 06' boats have cruise control standard, and my dealer said perfect pass is not needed since the factory cruise control does the exact same thing.......still a good deal?...

2_TWO_WAKE, as nice as Perfect Pass WB Pro is, I would opt for the factory installed and warranted option.
Other than that, it sounds like you are right in the ballpark.
PS: don't let the children on here get to you. Best advice is to ignore them as much as possible.

The local dealer I spoke to said the 06's cruise control offered by Malibu is not near as good as Perfect Pass, because the Perfect Pass has a lot more user friendly features.
I don't have personal experience with either, so take it for what it's worth. That was coming from a dealer that wasn't trying to sell me on the upgrade, we were just bullchitting about the 06's.
I would also make a request to add perfect pass. The response is "YES" or "NO". Not like your taking a kick to the groin for asking.

Sounds like a good deal on that ride. Eventhough it's not a Supra, I would jump on it. And you have the right idea getting good equipment to start off with.
It's worth it in the long run.

I have experience with both and even though the throttle by wire does do the job it is not as accurate as Perfect Pass. PP is easy to adjust and is personizable you enter the persons name and speed and all you have to do is bring that person up each time you change riders no adjusting the speed. I believe it keeps up to 8 seperate people and settings.
I could not afford it but use it on others that I ride with it will be one of our first upgrades.

Like itch, I've used both. I think the throttle by wire lagged a little bit out of the hole, but while under way, it was great. itch, What do you mean by it's not as accurate? I didn't notice it lagging or whatever even through d'ups.
It not important to me if i can input someones name into the display so I'm not taking that into account. If you're picking names, you're punching buttons just like changing the speed the way I see it..... I liked the Malibu SPeed control better for two reasons, it adjusts in .2MPH increments in lieu of .3 (PP) and has a bigger and better display IMO.
