im new to this whole thing been riding behind a 97 caravelle with no tower or anything so anything is better but here goes ive narrowed down to these for now
1999 mastercraft sportstar 20ft with zero flex tower chevy350/310hp 400hrs $20,000
1999 malibu wakesetter tower, wedge, direct drive new style graphics(not as important put nice) 400hrs $23,000
2000 tige 21i tower, taps and 300 hrs,350/315hp, 2 fat buddies ballastics sacs w/pump 300lb, spare prop kit w/ puller and case $24,000

are any of these better than the other performance and wake and what is the difference w/ like x-star and the 99 sportstar and tige 21i and riders edition are they just options i can add later 24,000 is my max for my budget at the time any other suggestions are appreciated thanks sorry so long

I would go with the Malibu. Its a bigger boat than the mastercraft. The sportstar is like the x-5 or x-7 so it cant be like the x-star. I'm not sure but i think the riders edition is more like the team edition of tige.

The wakes are different, i have seen a MC sportstar, the wake looked allright, i think that you would get a better wake out of the BU...but thats all subjective

I think that Tiges had (and correct me if im wrong) but horible towers that year, Funkster said that in the 21i that he was rideing behind sounded like the tower was about to break in 2 peices....

Assuming you are going to ride behind and drive all of them, pick the one that you like the best.

I would w/out a dought go with the malibu. The wakesetter is a proven boat. Those year model tiges do have crappy towers and at the best a decent wake. Mark that MC off the list because you would probably sale it in a year. If my budget was $24000 I would make a v line for a Super Sport Nautique. Same hull as the Super Air Nautique. And yes options are pretty much the difference betwen the ri and the 21i. Also try to buy a boat with the stuff you want already on it. Say if you bought that 21i for 24k. By the time you make it into a riders edition you could have already bought a riders edition. Does that make sense? Anyways hope this helps.

where the hell do you live? i've never heard of a dealer like that. as for the boats i cant give you a good opinion because i've never ridden behind any of them. i would say just test ride and drive the boats. see if the dealer will let you weight them so you can see how the wake is really going to be.

i live in oklahoma i havent asked all the dealerships because only 2 have actually had used wakeboard boats.

If my budget was $24000 I would make a v line for a Super Sport Nautique. Same hull as the Super Air Nautique

also what year super sport natique? ive seen i few ski natiques 4 sale but not any super sports for that price range but i havent searched before 1994

the SS is a V-drive, the Sport is a D-drive, no you cant get the same wake, due to the hulls being different.... The 95 SS is the same boat as a 2003 SAN...pretty cool!

The pic is there give it time to load. Dragon is right also. I was impressed by this boat that a fellow named Joram is selling on this site. His asking price is out of your budget but it could give you an idea of what you could do with one.
