Ricky I think the northern lights bar is a rip off. The cans are ok.
When it comes to an amp heres how it works if you have an amp rated at 100watts@4ohms thats what wattage it puts out while hooked up to a 4ohm speaker. If you have an eight ohm speaker the power output is cut in half 50watts.
But if you have a 2 ohm speaker "dual 4ohm voice coils or two 4 ohm speakers wired 'in line,'" then the power is doubled and is 200watts. |

| Personally, I wouldnt buy from e-bay due to the amount of crappy remanufactured product out there. For my tower speakers, I went with a box unfilled from LoudLiquid www.loudliquid.com and filled them with 6X9's from www.onlinecarstereo.com, which brought the total to $600, and fot the amp, I went with a Phoenix Gold XS-4300 amp. |

Buy the speakers like I did and make your own bracket. I bought those speakers (4 of them) on ebay for $20.00! The bracket is super simple.

You can find some good terminology definitions here: http://www.soundofmusic.cc/glossary.htm
Here is what they have for RMS:
Abbreviation for root mean square. The effective value of a given waveform is its RMS value. Acoustic power is proportional to the square of the RMS sound pressure.

| Let me put that in english for you RMS is the normal wattage that the speakers can handle. It is usually the point at which the speakers start to distort. |
