I want to know what length rope you ride and why.
I'm just curious to see what most of you guys and gals ride at and for what reason to get a better perspective on the whole issue.
any info would be appreciated.

Behind my boat (Tige 21V) I ride at 75 feet.
Behind my buddies boat (2004 wakesetter VLX) I ride at 80 feet.
Behind both boats I'm going around 22 mph.
Basically, I ride at that length because that's where the wake is good at that speed. I like a wide wake so I can go big and still land on the other wake. My knees and back can't handle a lot of hard landings in a set. The longer rope gives you so more hangtime too which can be crucial in learning a new trick. _________________ "Have you ever noticed that waffles are just pancakes with syrup traps?"
I ride at 55 including handle behind my boat (outboard) because that's where the wake is decent.
65' behind a friend's i/o with a tower because... well... thats where the wake is decent. I ride as far back as I can go w2w. I don't want to land in the flats, it hurts.

behind my nauti it is 85 at about 24-25 mph with about ton of weight.
Behind my buddies VLX it is 80 feet at 24
And most boats at comps it is 75-80 feet depending on the boat. _________________ "Life is a funny thing right when you think you have got a hold of it, it bucks off of a double up funny and break two ribs when you bounce off the bottom of the 4ft deep private lake"
