Another wakeboard video, please critique if you watch

Honestly it didn't look all that bad. Just work on up-ing your line tension for more pop, standing tall more and later, and landing on edge, not flat. Noting we can really help you with, it just takes practice.

BTW, where do you find 3 girls who will wake up early to go watch wakeboarding? I want to move there.

oh by the way, i have to say this in every thread, none of the riding is me, the kid at the beginning is doing wakeboarding for his senior project, that was his 7th time out, i am doing a wakeboard video for my senior project

and about the girls, being a senior can get you all the sophomore chicks Cool

Not bad. Must be nice, Mr. Heated Lake. Im in a suit. I bet you were trucnking it comfortably. Im a little north of you. (I ride in VA) BS 3 looks cool. That seems to be the trend lately. More people are learning BS before FS. Cool I guess, unorthodox.

to help out your buddy who was the first rider try pulling him behind a shorter line length. that way it will be easier for him to get the hang of w2w and he wont case the wake.

I saw your last video and this one is definately better. I remember hearing that song on a DVD before I think it was Metronome but I'm not sure.

Very nice work. The song was sweet.. mellow.. nice.
I know you want critique on the video, not the riding... however..
I liked the BS 360, nice.. and the Ollie over the bouy to faceplant was classic
About the video.. perhaps cut in a few clips of different things, such as fish swimming in a tropical reef, or a nuclear bomb exploding, or maybe a dude walking around on fire.
I don't know, I have never made a movie, I am just thinking of somthing to break up the riding. Maybe a splash screen of the rider getting his bindings on, with his name , before his run?
Maybe think of something cool you like, and that people can identify you with, as the filmaker, and include it in each of your films. For example, I have been associated with vampyres for as long as I know.. so I might put in some stock footage from with Bela Lugosi in the original Dracula black and white movie.. just a few seconds sprinkled in.
Something I don't like is sketchy filming.. one of the videos out there (professional team videos, can't remember which one) has like a shaky cam thing going on, on purpose.. just gives me a headache.
Another idea, might be to include a slow motion sequence, either during, or after a cool trick, like the BS 360, or the buoy ollie.
Just my critique, again, I have never made a film.

Yea at my highschool our girls in my grade are basically gone. The seniors see them as easy meat. (no offense to you ladies out there). Back to the video. It was good better than the other one i saw. Didnt like the song personally though. Got annoying after a little bit. But nice job.

I dont really know exactly.

If your looking for something mellow I'd try clocks or scientist by coldplay.

But if your looking for something else then try something by Fall out boy.

The song might be fine. The beat is good but that japanese backround song voice whatever that is just gets a little annoying.

If we are critiqueing the vid as in photog and editing, try different angles and maybe some zoom? It has zero variety.

the riding is pretty vanilla. Both riders have serious balance problems. The second guy, even though he did a 3, is clearly not comfortable in the air. You want your vid to get some attention. These riding didn't do it for me and I wouldn't invite people over to watch it. The transitions were smooth but the lighting was bad. For outdoor stills, overcast is perfect, but a day on the lake w/out sun is bland.

Your vid lacks: variety: on many levels, excitement, "color", action, etc.

Watch other wake vids, crotch rocket vids, snowboarding/freestyle skiing vids. Observe what they have and you don't.

What's the theme of your vid?

Throw in something completely random, like something blowing up, or someone throwing up. I take my camera everywhere, and I don't know how often you have yours, but it comes in handy a lot. But don't overwhelm the video with random things, only the few selected hilarious or amazing things, or something that just caught your attention even though it was an everyday thing, like video of driving in the car, or your shadow as you walk, just some examples. Awesome video. Swweet ollie over the bouy, that was nice.
