I've got a steep driveway and the prop guard always drags and tears up the street and driveway. I noticed some people have added wheels to the back of the prop guard to help with this problem...

I'm not sure if the wheels alone will solve the problem for me. If I lift the trailer how much harder will it be to launch and put the boat back on the trailer. If you have a shallow ramp won't it be nearly impossible? Any suggestions?

put the rollers on and you will be fine. I have a steep hill to go up too. I put the rollers on and it is fine. Good Luck!! No need to bother lifting the trailer. You would probably have to lift it pretty high.

Another option in addition to the rollers would be a drop hitch on your tow vehicle. Not to tow with but one the is much lower for backing the trailer up the drive way. By lowering the tongue you will be raising the rear and prop guard, although wheels on the back of the trailer are usually sufficient. I personally wouldn't consider a lift for the trailer but only my opinion.

BTW, I've had a couple trailers that I literally lifted all the tires off the ground while backing up drive ways...no big deal if you've got wheels on the back of the trailer that are properly installed.
