|
|
I have been an avid audiophile for years and have a few questions about NVS systems that are so highly regarded and labeled as the best by most people on this site. I also know that the owner frequents this site and many of you have these speakers on your towers.
Here goes. Why are the Addictions $1195 (a pair of single tower speakers) more expensive than the Entity 1010's $995 (which consists of two speakers, a horn and bigger enclosure)? I would think one of Entity 1010's would outperform a pair of Addictions. What do ya'll think? On the NVS site, they have pricing for 2 pair of Addictions with an asterisk " *If you are crazy!" for a whopping $2295, but the Entity 1010's can be had for $1795 a pair. Am I missing something in the Addictions? Does NVS use Polk speakers or just Polk grills?
I'm simply trying to understand how four 10" speakers in tower speaker enclosures cost so much, especially if they're just Polk Audio. |

If you decide to purchase NVS 1010 you might wait until mid to late nov when they go on sell. I saved alot of money last year waiting for them to go on sale. |

| I was wondering if the 1010s can come as seperate speakers, rather than 2 speakers in one unit. Or do you have to get the addiction speakers to get just single unit speakers so you can put them on either side end of the tower? |

| You will have to talk to Dave. I have heard two boat owners going in on a set of speakers and them installing one unit on a single boat. |

| I was tryign to find a person to go 50/50 on a set with me. I had one on my tower for about a month. I didn' tliek the wya it looked, but volume wise, you get close to 80% from just one....adding a second doesn't make it twice as loud. |

| I heard a "1/2 set" on top of an older nautique at the lake today. It was the first time I had seen NVS in real life (not too many sets around here). I was IMPRESSED! Loud and clear, way back. They will definitely be on my next boat. |
