How important is holding the handle parallel versus perpendicular like a slalom skiier? I grew up as a kid skiing and kneeboarding holding the handle like a slalom skiier, now I wakeboard the same way. It feels weird when I hold it parallel!

What the dilly yO?

The dilly yo is that when you hold it like a skier yo, it makes you look like you holding yo willy yo. As weird as it feels yo, trust me you look weirder and you will never be able to progress as a rider yo until you switch the handle posish yo.

I don't have problems passing the handle this way, how will this still create a problem for me? Should I switch back, yO?

Yo yo yo. Incorrect body position. It puts you in a weaker position that will drop a shoulder and mess you up. Trust me it's the correct way & the sooner you do it the better you'll be.

Just switch..........you won't even think about it after a few times.
I still slalom baseball bat style though.

to elaborate more on the body position , holding the handle like a skier will put the handle higher up in relation to your body , where as holding it parallel will allow you to hold it at your waist easier , thus , stronger posish. And is parallel the right word to use? I would imagine that it would be perpendicular because the handle is sideways instead of upright like your body. Or is is PARALLEL with your waist? screw it , im gonna go find me some beotches yo. Peace out home dog.

I was told to keep your "knuckles up", that way you will be less likely to drop your shoulder.
