Is this boat worth 26,500 if not what should i be willing to pay. The owner is a rep for multiple companies and can throw in a bunch of stuff ( sacks boards bindings )

Specs:
1998 SN AIR
290 HP Carb
330 Hrs
Heater
Board Racks
Jump Seat

http://flipsell.com/Phase3/home/DispVehicle.asp?VehicleID=2010

Should i just try to knock down the price or just have him throw in extras with it?? Any thoughts would be awsome.

The boat is in great shape. I have seen it before. Offer him $25,900 or so and see what he says. I think he has had it for sale for awhile now.

There are definitly much better deals out there. Start low on an offering price NOT $25900. Check out http://www3.nadaguides.com/ to get a reference to begin on an offering price. I think you will see the asking price is pricey. Oh, and as always be sure to get some free stuff especially if he's a rep and don't let him tell ya no. Good luck.

In my opinion, that is a pretty good deal. You are getting a trailer (which would cost over $2000, if I remember correctly) and some really cool options (heater, custom cover, jumpseat, ballast system, and board racks). Plus, 330 hrs isn't too bad. I would, of course, try to get him to go down on the price, but I would feel pretty good about that deal, especially if he throws in fat sacs, a board, and bindings. That stuff alone would be worth over $500. I would offer about $25,000 and see what he says.

But this is just my opinion. You'll probably want to do a lot of research before you buy.

First, find out the book value is. Then go from their. I would not offer anything over book. (don't put to much thought into the options). Second, if you can agree on a price make it contingent on having the boat checked out by a dealership or reliable mechanic you pick or trust. This will cost you an additional $50-100. (worth every penny)

Lastly, get him to throw in whatever he can. When buying a boat, focus on that and not other throw-ins. When you go to sell or trade-in down the road, that is all you will get.

Also, I would aske the seller to allow to take the boat out and spend a few hours riding behind it, weighting it down and see how the engine reacts...etc..

$26,500 is VERY HIGH!

These are just my opinions from my own experiences.
