Went out riding last Wed & was in the water for about 2 hours total riding time. Then went SAT morning & again on SUN. (trying to get a 360 down before the season ends) Yesterday I was only able to get one run in cause my lead arm hurts so bad. My arm hurts all over and my elbow feels like crap like the joint got pulled bad or something. I know I strained the muscles but I'm worried about the elbow/joint pain.
Could something like this turn into a stress fracture if I over-do it? Or maybe pulled tendons or something?
Just wondering if anyone else gets this after a few days of riding or am I just a wuss? |

| Yeah I get tendinitis in my left elbow (front arm - I ride regular). It comes and goes, the doc gave me some good strecths that I do daily, I think it has helped. I only get thd pain, can be throbbing in the elbow area. |

Yup. Some of us have bodies that just can't take the grind every day.
I have recurring problems with my right elbow, shoulder, and bicep (I ride goofy), and I attribute it to the fact that I don't land fakie enough. Things that are especially hard on my right arm are overrotated tantrums, sketched TS fronts, and overrotated 3's either way.
When my right arm starts to go, it encourages me to work on fakie stuff. More switch riding, and anything that I depart regular on I add a 180 to and take the heat in my left arm. |

| I used to have similar problems, then I started doing upper body workouts with lighter weights and higher reps focussing on shoulders and back and haven't had problems since. Also I do not ride every day, so I'm sure that has something to do with it too. |

This has happened to me a few times, and most of the time I was being an idiot and riding all day without drinking much water... Dehydration KILLS... _________________ 2004 SAN-210 Team |

That's normal, at almost 35 I got it a few times this year and I'm in fairly good shape. I was doing lots of sets in a day many days in a row like you mentioned and almost every thing I do has a spin of some sort in it.
The high rep light weight workout idea is probably the best thing to prevent it from being a regular thing.
Once I start to feel the pain I just keep telling myself quality not quantity!
Every jump is a trick, no wasting energy on W2W grabs and warm-up stuff.
I tend to keep both hands on the handle a lot more on my inverts as well. _________________ PEACE
