| Yes we have them. At the Target here normal people can't oark wihin 40 yards of the front doors. All the close spots are taken for handicap, expectant mothers and shopping carts. They probably take up 25% of the parking lot.

Before my lady was pregnant, I thought they were stupid. But when I was able to park in the front row because I had a pregnant woman with me I thought they rocked!

| Ouch, that pretty damn cold man. I certainly know that when my wife was pregnant, she wasn't a "bitch that got knocked up". Imagine this, you all of a sudden in a period of 40 weeks, grew a beer belly the size of a pumpkin, and that pumpkin was shoving it's stem in your bladder and ribs. Not to mention the 20-40 lbs you just gained and aren't used to carrying. Do you think you possibly deserve a handicap sticker? I think so.

I don't think that's a LEGAL issue, I think it's JUST a store policy. You can park there anyway.

| Starting to see more of them around here. It's normaly the same stores that have a retarded amount of spots already reserved for handicap parking. Can't say I'm pissed to see them or handicap spots either. As long as they are used by the people who need them. I get pissed when i see a perfectly heathy person park and walk away from a handicap spot, probably would be too if a woman who didn't even look pregnant parked in those spots.

It's probably the stores frequented by women, many of them pregnant. They're just pleasing their customer base. If you don't like it, stop going there and write a letter saying that you won't shop there because you are against unfair aid to pregnant "bitches."

Coming from a bitch that got knocked up............What do you care? I think it's rediculous when people fight for the close parking spots anyway............I always park far away where there are less cars around to save my car from getting damaged.......even when I was "a knocked up bitch", I parked at the far end of the lot.........

| i'd rather see pregnant mother spots then general "handicapped" spots that allow some 350lb Slob to not get that extra 10 feet of exercise.

in my buildings parking garage, they used to have at least 4 handicap spots on all 4 floors of the garage. thats 16 spots, and Ive only seen one used every now and then. So, they removed half of them down to o2 on each floor. This was good fro me because most people didnt notice they took the signs down so They always left me a spot close to the elevator. Then they play the ultimate guilt trip game:
Now they have the "Handicap ONLY" sign on the 2 spots and another sign that says "Handicap Accessible" sign on the two old spaces. So now I can park in my perfectly legal spot knowing no other handicap people will come and if they do there are plenty of "only" spots, but I got to stare up at that lil wheelchair every time I do.
So, if the lot is empty and other available spots are there, I will take them but if its full and thats all thats left, I WILL take it instead of going deeper into the dungeon.

last i heard, walking was good for everyone.. including pregnant ladies, ...or in Ont's terms "knocked up bitches".
i think they could walk to extra 100 yrds.
and dont give methe "well theyre pregnant they should nt be walking to much" crap. cause they are going to target to walk around for 4 freaking hours shopping.
so if they are that worried about being on their feet, they shouldnt be worried about whether they park in row 2, or row 76

Many communities have laws regarding handicapped spaces. Pregnant women ( stupid, fat knocked up biatches ) qualify as handicapped.
Although, when I DO see a non-handicapped use one, I loudly and publicly ridicule them. "DAMN! THAT BUM KNEE MUST REALLY BOTHER YOU!" "I BET YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S MENTALLY HANDICAPPED EH?"... ...
My wife gets soooo embarrased when I do that

Someone yelled at my uncle for parking in a spot once. He has a Mercedes 500SL convertible. So they assumed it was just some rich a-hole taking the spot.
Their jaw dropped when he lifted up his pant leg and showed them his titanium limb.

| Lol Junkee. Good point. But I can tell you that my wife certainly wanted a pregnant parking spot when she was pregnant, I remember her talking about it at walmart. But hey, is it really really killing you guys to park a few spots out. I mean you will have to walk an entire 9 to 10 foot more. Let the preggo's have the front spots geesh. What kind of man are you? Do you open doors at restaurants for the ladies? IF you do, then this little display of gentlemenship takes more time than it would take to walk that 10 ft in the parking lot.

they should give pregnant women handicap stickers, not there own designated spots. and people over 300 lbs should be given a special parking pass too, that allows them to ONLY park in the designated areas. IN THE BACK OF THE LOT! i hate fat people.

Well the question was half-joking... obviously it's good to accomodate people who are maybe tired and stressed out from dragging an extra 20 pounds around... but my real question is, where'd they get this idea?! and where does it stop?
Do we have parking for temporarily injured person? You could have a wakeboarder holding his knee on the sign?
Spots for Elderly (but non-handicapped) persons... who may be tired?
And how do we decide what order they get their spots laid out in the lot!?

I though it was good for pregnant women to walk? There isn't a special tag for your plates so how does anyone know if the person parked there is actually pregnant?

It's more for pregnant women leaving the store, so they don't have to push a shopping cart or carry packages any further than the first row.

I thought that was what bag boys were for?
If walking is good for them, then maybe it should be Parking for Lazy Expectant Mothers.

Those spaces are essentially close parking for fat women. I mean there's no pass on your car that certifies you as pregnant, it's just for those who can get away with it. And no it's not a legal issue in the US. It's the store who puts them up. If there are no other relatively close spots I will park in them. Fat women need to get their exercise more than I do

We have them all over the place for senior citizens. I don't think it's a big deal, I usually park farther away to avoid parking lot dings anyway...

Old people and fat people should have at least one thing to be happy about. Besides, the fatties are closer to the door, which if it's the door to a grocery store, is like pandoras box.

theoretically, any woman could park there.
wakerider07, LMAO! STAR.
I consider it a priviledge to be able to walk as far as I have to. I've injured my ankles and knees too many times to give a s hit about where I park. Unless I'm in a big hurry, I don't mind how close I park.

But when I do, I just go straight to the "fire truck parking" area.

The saying goes, don't judge a book by it's cover. This is exactly why you shouldn't bitch when you see someone who "appears" healthy in one of these spots.
