| My friend got a Hydroslide package board about a month ago for his birthday. It was the cheapest board they had at the shop. The bindings that came with it are terrible and the board doesn't seem all that great either. I was wondering how much of a difference there is between a cheap Hydroslide package and a higher quality Hyperlite or Liquid Force. |

there is a ton of difference, i'm assuming (sp) that it has sandal bindings which have no support compare to the sphnyx or any other higher end boot. the board doesnt have nearly as much pop as any quality board. it's ok for a begginer but i would deffinatly get different bindings and,or board. _________________ Chuck Norris' chief export is pain. if you get a hydroslide once you get up ur gunna want a upgrade
for a beginner get the hyperlite era with era bindings
once you get better thake off the center fin and it feels like a whole different board _________________ From Here it's all Glory |

The board you can work with for a little while if you're short on cash but the bindings need to go. NOW. If your parents say no tell them "Its a saftey thing!!!". It is, with those bindings they are very unpredictable about releasing, and if 1 releases and the other doesn't you can get...1. broken ankle/knee 2.torn/streched tendons 3. other bad stuff. Also, new bindings will progress you riding way faster than a better board will. I LOVE my LF transits. Nothin better IMHO.

| Thanks for all the input. I think I'll ride out the fall with the bindings it came with and by next spring I'll definently get new bindings if not a new board also. |

I went from a fairly decent Double Up board to a Liquid Force and I found the bindings are so much more supportive and the amount of pop I get is immense. The top of the range boards look and feel nicer. If you buy quality you'll never regret it but if u buy stuff then after a while u end up forking out for a new board anyway, which can end up more expensive sometimes. _________________ Live Life to the Edge otherwise you will miss the view |
