Their towers are works of art. I actually went out a day last year on a 22SSV with the Billet Tower. It was stiff as a rock, and not to mention, gorgeous.

A stylish tower that maintains conservative characteristics, and does its job well. I'd have one on the SANTE if I didn't have to change the mounting on all of the tower gear. Beautiful, IMO.

In the provided scenario, on the Prostar 197 depicted, the unsuspecting passenger would have been previously sitting directly on the pylon before the head-on collision with the tower. I'd be more concerned with my junk than bumping my head on the tower.

Bruky, Just to pick up on a point you made.

I'm not convinced that the stiffest tower is always the best. in fact in mos tways its a design problem.

say you drive your boat through a nice size double up.. the whole boat flex's (the cheaper the boat, generally the more it will flex). now you have a deck trying to flex either torsionally or against the tower, the other problem is that any knocks or vibrations (hitting the roof of your garage, boatlift etc... which seme sto happen more than one would think) will result in a shock directly into the deck.

both these factors 'can' lead to gel coat cracking.

On a tower with a small amount of movement, such as the current series of zero flex's whent he hull flex's the tower goes with it, meaning theres no conflict in forces as such.

At the end of the day though.... so long as the tower isn't freely rattling, if it flex's 1/2"... is there anyone here that would be able to tell from 75ft behind?

Just my 2 cents on it...

I have the 13th Floor tower on my Chaparral. It's nothing like a wake boat, in that the tower has that "bolt on look". I think as of late the towers have become more streamline, flowing with the lines of the windows and others lines in the boat. I will say that the tower is awesome, It's good and solid and I think even though it has that bolt on look, that it still goes well with the boat. I'll get some pics up soon..

By the way, the point that everyone sees is not going to stab some unsuspecting passenger in the head.

old subject i know but i just got the billit universal and installed myself. i am
way impressed. at first gance, its looks flemsy but it has a one-of-a-kind agressive look (in my opinion). it has very little flex and sway even for a universal tower, Brit mentioned that towers do need some flex, this tower has just the rite amount of flex and still feels solid.
my thumbs up.

I need to take picture of the tower and then i'll post it. looks kinda twiggy
right now without any racks or speaks. I still like the way it looks though,
and it's purpose even more...
