| are these self powered subs witht the amp built in good quality and worth getting for your boat? i was lookng at an infinity one and someother company (it looked like a tube wihtthe sub at one end) and i was wondering if it was good quality for a boat. it looks for efficient and cheapeer than buying a sub and an amp. |

just think... you get what you pay for.
i am not impressed with a self powered sub. you don't get near the sound quality. but if that is what you want get it. _________________

| I got a Bazooka self powered over the winter. Just an 8" so it doesnt thump that loud but it definetly helps. LS is pretty much right you get what you pay for, the Bazooka was only 100 on Ebay |

if you looking for so rowdy sound get some kicker solo barics.
i have 2 HE Rockford 10"s in my boat and they hit hard enough.
no close to my L7 solo barics in my truck. but i am not in sound competiton on the lake.
they sound fine. almost anything will sound good in a boat. _________________

yeah i was looking at the l7 10 inch ones but what would be a good amp to power them? i need tower speakers so im getting those first, then an amp for them, then subs with any left over money. so i dont really want to go all out on teh sound ststem, just enough that will sound good when im riding. the sub isnt even final yet. _________________ www.liquidforce.com |

i have a punch 800a2 bridged together running my 2 l7 10" a little over a 1,000 watts
you probably can get by with a punch 350 or 400 for one solo. that is about 300-600 watts, that is a good that would sound really nice, you can go a little lower but not much, it wouldn't sound as good. _________________
