Okay.. They should have a newb forum for this, but I was wondering how to get up on a wakeskate.

I've heard of 2 different ways.
A)1. Lay out in the water as if to start on a wakeboard and rest your feet on the skate
2. When the boat goes, flip the board to rest on the bottom of your feet and pull yourself to stand.

B)1. Submerge the skate and position yourself as you were sitting in a chair
2. (I can't remember Confused)

well with the second one i read in a magazine its called "wedgeing out" and you pretty much jsut angle the board the front edge is higher than the back egde and tell the boat to go, then the board should cut through the water upwards lifting you out of the water.

look at pic to see the starting position.

I hope you in good shape, they strain the legs quite a bit... I don't know any other way to get up then this though:

Hold the board and handle with both hands, have the boat slowly move forword to create waterpressure against your board, then once you feel it pressing, tell them to hit it just like a wakeboard, bring your arms to your chest, and suck in your legs, then stand up.

well, if the line has tension and the boat is just barely moving enough to keep the line tight the board will stay against your feet in the water, then tell the boat to hit it and it's the exact same as getting up on a wakeboard.

Not to hijack, I was riding at my friends lake last week. The lake is very low right now and weeds are taking over.

So, I tried to do a deepwater start and my board kept getting caught on the weeds. Needless to say. I had to be dragged around until we found one spot that had less weeds. It was pretty funny.

In fact one point the skate didnt even com up until I kicked it. Anyone ever have this happen before?

This works but is very hard on your back
