| I can jump awesome heelside, like landing in the flats 4 ft out but i can barley clear the wake toeside. Sometimes not even close. It just seems so different and i feel like im gonna get pulled right down since im leaning away from the boat toeside. Do i just need more confidence in going in harder at the wake? |

cpolaris502, Pretty much just hit it... People hate landing blind, so they give up on toeside jumps... It really isnt that hard, but you just have to charge the wake and stay on your edge the entire time... Your board is flat, and you are not hitting it with speed just from fear... Go out there, stay on your edge and cut in hard, and dont look at the boat on your landing, if you dont already know this. Keep your eyes on the shore line and you will ride out of it... Now, whats going to be tricky is throwing down a switch ts fs spin... _________________

| thanks for the tips. Yes i always look at the boat and the landing blind is a little freaky. Thats pretty much what i was thinking- just go for it and dont think about the consequences of falling. |

Yeah, you just have to go for it like you do heelside. I land out in the flats heelside w2w and want to move the rope out but I haven't got toeside down yet. I went for it today but didn't get across all the way. I made progress and was able to ride through while casing the wake. Before I was crashing.
I will get it next time out. Edge hard and make sure you lean hard aginst the rope when you hit the wake. |

| I feeling your pain too. Until last time out I had no problem charging the wake TS but after getting pulled over the front a couple of times I'm a little gun shy now. Damn that hurts! How do I keep from getting pulled out the front? I not to look down. Should I be giving a little tug on the handle on take off or move the handle to my hip? Thanks |

When jumping toeside, get your lead hip out there a bit and get the rope down to that hip, head up...try doing small ones first by not cutting out as far...get confidence, then take it bigger

Now heres a preference question. When you go heelside you land and ride out heelside, right.
When you go toeside do you guys land heelside and then continue toeside or land on your toeside edge?
I've seen people land it both ways, but I always want to land on my heelside, mental block I guess. _________________

I think I just need more time at it. I have jumped W2W TS but every once in a while I get pulled out the front. By moving the handle to your hip are you creating slack or just making sure the pull of the boat is low and not pulling you over? I don't have a tower so that doesn't help either.
Thanks |

ToddW, The tower makes no difference at all. I ride behind a 04 SAN and a i/o that is towerless and the tower makes no effect on the riding at all. I can clear the wake into the flats ts regular and land on the crest ts switch... The only thing I have really noticed is the fact I cant physically cut hard enough ts switch to get all the pop. I will say this one last time... CUT HARDER and stay on your edge and get the fall out of your mind. If you ride in fear, you will never make it in this sort of sport... Everyone gets the headache from a crash, so just go out there and charge it and remember your technique... Without proper technique, you will just plow the wake and get pulled over... Cut hard, stay on edge, and dont worry about a crash; they are part of it! _________________
