i felt bold today after sticking a couple more crow mobes and i tried a hs mobe once, got the rotation fine and landed it with no handle. the second time i tried it, i stuck it, with the handle this time, but it was a little rough, since i slammed my tricep of my right arm onto my knee. i didn't care, i landed it!

if anyone could give me some more tips on this trick, just key tips while doing this trick, it would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

ohio_wake_2008, nice job, you've been going off lately.

anytips on this compared to a roll2revert and a 360? is it just keeping the handle close or what?

midwest wake, it is a LOT more different than a 360 and a roll 2 revert. that's my opinion. my dad said i got a lot more height when i landed it, which is because i used the wake to initiate the trick, and it was a lot different. plus, you're spinning faster and it's slightly hard to tell where you are at.

haha yeah in the past month i have been tryin some new stuff. i like to learn new tricks, and this year i've learned a lot of them fairly fast.

but with a roll 2 revert and a 360, the roll 2 revert just helps with getting you comfortable on how you do the trick. the 360 helps with the handlspass. once you throw it, you will see.

Blake, definitely landing them at a fast rate, and keep working to perfect them. i hardly ever give up on a new trick after landing it once. i keep working on what i normally do wrong and try to land it every time; just learn from my mistakes and correct it.

usually i like to learn tricks from the middle of the season to the end so then next season, i can work on them more until mid-season again, have them perfected, and learn new ones.

what i am hoping to do is land a majority of my ts roll 2 blinds and hs mobes by the end of the year and get it down perfectly next season. my crow mobe is surprisingly easy to do, even though i learned it only a week ago. i've done pretty well on leanring them.

ohio,

i havent landed this trick, but the tips i keep hearing: take a short approach so you go straight up and w2w when learning it. when you land keep your head up.

looks like you got it nailed man! thats awesome! now i gotta try it!

i actually started on a normal approach like i would do on every other trick heelside. i felt more comfortable this way, but i didn't edge too hard, but right at the wake i cut really hard to get the pop and rotation. it seemed to be better to me.

WOW...i landed every single attempt at this trick tonight. a little bit rough on the landing a couple times, but the rest were just perfect. i was surprised i didn't eat it hard on a couple. also landed all of my crow mobes as well.

LFADAM, i would make a video, but my sister is too "busy" to go to the lake to film it. she has the only camera that i can get footage from, the other 2 don't plug to the computer and we don't really have the time to go buy the cords.

ohio_wake_2008, That is great news man. I thought about your thread yesterday when out on the lake bs'ing around behind my unweighted i/o that is towerless... LOL, I tell you, the crow mobe didnt take to my setup I was working with. I am not trying to hijack your thread, but here is a pic captured from the vid I wanted to post up for you... I would have yesterday, but my eye was swollen shut. Anyways, I am glad to hear you didnt have a crash like mine, but to report some good news, I did land it today... I am waiting for my buddy to send me some pics via aim... With the bloddy nose and the black eye working from my crash, I didnt really think to recharge my camera last night... Without further ado, here is the pic..

Got bindings? I am glad one of us had a fall free weekend! Laughing

Blake, haha nice fall, man. lately, i've only been getting minor headaches from crashes. i usually fall on my back edge and smack my back/head hard on the water. good job on landing it though.

ohio_wake_2008, Yeah homie, that one tore me up... I really am glad to hear you are progressing quick now. I enjoy watching our students at camp learn things fast that week. Makes me feel all special inside! Colorful

Good Luck next time you go out!

anti-shoobies, stock ballast with the x-7, and another 400 or so .lb to counterbalance my dad since he is usually the only one in the boat, and of course for some weight.

ALSO...we kinda cheat...my dad turns the boat a little bit to trip the wake. not to make it wash over at all, but it gives it a real nice curve to get good air.

ohio_wake_2008, yeah, that's called a dumper. My buddy landed some crow mobe's behind my X-7 the same way. But we usually have 600 lbs under the seat/sundeck and 350 in the back locker plus a full tank of gas and atleast 3-4 people. I just don't see how you have enough wake for those tricks. My buddy barely gets enough height for his crow mobe's behind our wake. I'm not saying you can't, I'm just saying that's super impressive, I'd like to see a video of it.

[quote="anti-shoobies"]

my guess is, your buddy needs to perfect his technique for the crow mobe... sounds like hes leaving to early. i can flip them with plenty of height behind a moomba xlv with just about 500lbs in the front and the wakeplate adjusted... thats just my guess.

natxbrotha, that is also a v-drive and a much heavier boat. I'm not going to get all defensive about his technique, but that is not the problem.
