Your wake will wash over when the boat slows too much. Likely, you'll need to ride a little faster so your wake won't wash out. Also, another factor would be the driver is not holding a constant speed. Boats do tend to slow down when pulling a slow speeds, so by riding a little faster, it will give the driver a little flexibility (and the boat should hold speed better).
After speeding up, if your wake is too small, ride with a longer line. |

Super, try adding weight to the front of the boat, and keep your speed above 20 mph or so.
Also, weight the boat evenly side to side. If you have too much weight on one side, the wake will wash out on the opposite side. |

More speed man. Make sure your balast is equal from side to side, including your people on board. _________________

Amen to that. For all of you having IOs, if you do minor (MINOR!) turns toward the side the rider is on, you'll smooth out the wake on that side. Turn too much and it decreases the wake. On smooth water I can get my IO set up with both wakes looking good, but find in chop I can just ever so slightly turn towards the rider-side to give em a clean wake to launch off of. |
