keep it down low, maybe even a little below your knees, and put your face underwater. tell the boat driver to take off when you put your head down because you probably don't have gills. _________________ "...but even if you don't make it, it will only hurt for a minute." |

well I read somewhere on this forum to keep the handle between your knees and in your hands while leaning nice and forward. When the boat starts to pull you should be hunched over, making it easier to keep from catching an edge. Once your on the water just let go of a hand and switch to the stance you want. But, I've never done one myself, this is just how I read it and how I'd do it. _________________ YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWW!!!! |

yeah just keep your hands low and around your knees basically and lean forward, and right before the line gets tight duck your head under water and you'll pop right i saw gerry nunn do it today when i was riding with him. first time i've seen it might have to try it now _________________ Jon

| Pengwin, well for a true underwater, you dont wear a vest and go under water completely, the boat starts and you pop out of the water. (Vance has a video of one on a skate) I wear a vest so I only get my waist and below under. They arent too hard, just stand on your board and angle it slightly so it pops out of the water. |

DUNDUNDUN* - just watch any wakeskate video where they might show the person getting up. none of the wakeskaters really wear lifejackets anymore, so they always do undewater start...its pretty normal.
ps..your head is not usually underwater when you do them, its normally just from your man-boobs down |

i can't remember where i saw it but a girl tried to do a dock start and jumped waaaaaaaaaaay too early, completely submerged and the driver hadn't noticed, so he carried on accelerating as normal and she popped straight up, not suprisingly with a look of shock on her face _________________ There's nothing like a good old faceplant to wake you up in the morning! |

| underwater starts are pretty easy if u have a outlaw vest. As long as ur driver knows how to time it right. |
