LF Substance

Anyone have opinions on this board? I'm fairly new but can do w2w & some surace tricks. I demoed the 138 & 142 & really liked the feel of the 138. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this one.

I have an '04 Substance and love it...was riding '04 HL Premier previously and the Substance is much better for me...better pop, lighter, faster... has helped me progress this summer!

Is the 04 the same shape as the 05? I found the 04 model for much cheaper.

I'm pretty sure they are just different graphics.

04 and 05 are exactly the same less graphics. this is an awesome board. i ride an 04 142 it's sweet.

HyperRash, The board has a great edge to it, but the thing just didnt feel as though you could get some real speed behind it... A very smooth riding board, but it didnt work for me. If you are a LF biased rider, than you will love it though.

Blake, I am not a LF biased rider and love the board, I rose up from the old premier shape and loved that before too, also a rider of GB. The substance is my current board and it has great pop, faster than the premier and a great edge hold with or without the fins. A smooth consistent pop is a must for me, but I still like to go straight up... this bad boy does that for me, and it's great.

just picked up an 05 134 substance for 175 bucks new. i've ridden it once so far and i've loved it. it has a lot of pop and is smooth and edges very well. For 175 bucks i can't complain... Very Happy

i know a guy who runs the proshop at a wake boat dealership and they were tryin to get rid of the 2005 stuff so they sold it to me dirt cheap
