Startin to learn my 360 and am running into the problem of the boat pulling me over backwards when i am trying to get the handle pass. My guess is i just do not have any slack when i take off. Any tips for getting this trick would be great. Also i am taking it kinda big 3-4 feet into the flats cause thats how iam used to doing my grabs. Whats the best way to go about learning this trick.

Take a really relax cut with a good pop. It will be easier to land your 360 on a nice wake2wake and there will be much less tension in the line. Also, when you're cutting, put the handle as close as possible of your front hip. It should also help to get less line tension. I started doing them wake to wake. Don't try to spin in the wake.

Take a relax cut, pop, then spin. You can wait a little bit to start the spin.

Good Luck

Just take it wake to wake, you will have plenty of time.

If you are getting pulled over backwards, you may be holding the handle too high prior to the handle pass.

These became easier for me when I broke the trick up into several steps.
1. Edge and pop for a normal wake to wake, and keep the handle even with your hip in the air.
2. At the peak of the jump, shift the handle to your back hip with both hands while lookking around over your lead shoulder. You should be turned 180 at this point. If you are still on axis, continue.
3. release your front hand, reach around and pass the handle.
Land to the cheers of everyone in the boat.

For me, the most important part was shifting the handle to my rear hip smoothly with both hands. Prior to trying that, I used to pull the handle really hard with my rear hand, and it would be way out away from my body and pull me over backwards.
