| Hello all - new to wakeboarding ... I know that you can point your bindings inward or outward ... just wondering what is the most common or the best way. Also I ride with my right foot in the back, does that mean I ride normal or "goofy". Thanks for the help. |

Because I am in such a terrific mood, I am going to help you out with this... First, to answer your last question first, you ride normal. Right foot forward is "goofy". Just because the name is strange, doesnt mean its any more rare than left foot forward...
Next, you really need to the bindings on to be ducked out slightly at shoulder width. This means, pointed out a hair... I will attempt a drunken ms paint for you...

goofy is the best way, when you switch it will always be the same with goofy, but with regular it will be strange _________________ --imposible is nothing-- |

super4011, What in the bloody hell are you talking about? Just because you ride goofy doesnt mean you are at an advantage... That is what feels more natural to your body as balance is concerned... Dont post if you have no clue with what you are saying. _________________

WhoUBe, Any idea what that translates to in the Hyperlite (alpha-numerical) settings? It always seems like setting my Hyperlite bindings to "A-0" tilts my feet in, the opposite being ducked so I have been compensating by setting them out further.
On a related note, I have Hyperlite bindings on my O'Brien Ambush and the thumbscrews never seem to tighten down properly, they bottom out before they get a chance to tighten all the way down, are they just incompatible? |

Azruial, Sorry I don't. I ride a LF board and bindings. You'll have to just play with the settings. 9 degrees is just slightly ducked out. Hyperlites bolts are longer than the other companies' that's why the bolts are bottoming out, so I guess they're incompatible. Hope this helps. _________________ i have mastered the art of the wipeout. |

Yeah, I'm glad to know that there is something about the brands getting in the way since I'll probably be on a Hyperlite next season anyway. I'll get the settings right eventually, it's just that I have 2 riders with VERY different foot sizes on this board right now and changing bindings back and forth every time tends to produce a lot of different settings, lol, so I'll eventually hit the right one right! |

| ^ you may also want to check the threads ... a few of my friends have had the threads on their decks go to stuff which makes it pretty much impossible to screw anything in |

| Yeah, I'll double check, but I'm pretty good at keeping everything in good condition and cleaning out the mounts and stuff. My plan is to bring some stainless washers this weekend to put on top of the clamps to hold the bolts out further without any permanent damage or modification. I think it'll work pretty well. Thanks though, that's always something to consider... |
