K-wood Kid, it is not photoshopped. Do you really think that a pic that was photoshopped would really get into a published magazine???

Prior40 are you ignorant or just plain stupid? Chad Sharpe's pic in Wb Magazine is real and yes it is big but not that big. If anyone can scan the WBM pic you can clearly tell which one is photoshopped. Look at the pic I just posted, can you not see the circle around the rider where he was cut out and pasted?

Dammit K-wood Kid, I thought you would know better. The reason that there are "lines" around the rider in those pics is .JPG COMPRESSION! Make a pic on paint and save it as .jpg and it gets blurry, its just the way to make it a smaller file. Dont believe me? Look at any other border in the pics, the trees/sky has a line too. Look at your magnified version. You can see random juts of blurrieness off of the right side of his board. Why would someone cut that out like that? Notice the pink on the handle. Blurred! Ive seen the Chad Sharpe pic in wbm and that definetly looks real to me. 18 feet? Sounds about right to me by using the boards as scale. Biggest ive seen, 18 feet sounds right. That would probably mean the average pro double up max is 12-15 feet. Sounds reasonable.

intotheflats, I believe this is what Texans do best... Between vacationing for a year, and posting on thse internet forums, we truely are lost souls...

What the hell is the arguement over again? And for the record, just because something is a record doesnt mean that another person hasnt gone higher... I am sure there has been guys go upper teens, but it wasnt docummented or tape measured...

3-4 ft. is satisfactory for me when I ride behind a boat but 2 ft. is good behind our PWC.

Uhh does anyone have a shot of the magazine? Maybe that could resolve this whole argument of what's photoshopped and what's not. Half the shots I've looked at have been debated whether phothopped or not.

K-wood Kid, just like it's been said, jpeg compression can cause halos. I forget what thread it was... but one of the moderators i think explained it.

Yes.. JPEG can really distort images. I find the least distorted would be PNG or in the rare case BMP (bitmap). For most JPEGs you can see the distortion right away but for ones with higher quality, you really need to zoom to see it.

K-wood Kid, talk smack all you want. You're not going to get me riled up. You haven't posted any proof as of yet, so who's the ignorant one now?

well i can jump 8.3 feet on a w2w so i'm better than all of you. When did wakeboarding all of a sudden become an olympic sport, "well, i can grab for 2.5 seconds, thats a world record" this is Bubb Rubbing ridiculous. Also height is near impossible to tell from the boat and even harder to tell when you are in the air. finally height is 50% wake and 50 % technique. if you want to go as high as the pros ride behind boats with 3000 lbs of ballast and ride a lot.

K-wood Kid, you get pixel burn on contrasting colors in jpg images retard.

ive seen the sharpe pic and the vandall pic before and they are real.

K-wood Kid, I'm not saying it is or isn't photoshopped, but often times between contrasting colors, it will look blurry like that.

BelmontWake, You should be measuring to the kink in the dup NOT to the trough of the wake you have a depth field error its less height then that.
