For frontside get up regular and immediately try while the boat is getting up to speed, its easier if your going slower. Do your frontside 180 so you are riding switch but dont stop the spin and really focus on the handle. I learned them by passing the handle right after the 180 before the second 180 started. I would reach around my back to my lead hand and grab the rope then initiate the second 180, good luck.
You can also take your fins off, that makes it easier. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |

well i pass the handle behind my back and i grab it with my other hand, when you do that just pull with your hand and you will spind , as liquiddmw says slower is better to learn this trick _________________ --imposible is nothing-- |

I cut out hard on my heelside away from the boat. Then stop and let some slack in the line and spin backside passing the handle on the way around, then immediately pass the handle to the lead hand and finish the 360. I sometimes don't pass the handle and ride blind for a short time and delay finishing the 360. The reason I ride blind is because I am working my way up to a hs bs 180.
You can easily catch an edge doing this until you get it down. I have never had the boat slow down and we ride at around 23 mph. So I had incentive to not catch an edge. I have had my bell rung good catching my heelside edge with my back to the boat. Remember to get on your toes when you go around.
You may want to slow the boat down to around 15 mph and do these in the middle of the wake first to get used to going around and passing the handle. |
