Deal with it. Besides a sea-doo's wake is pretty small. I ride behind one.

Why dont you get your lazy ass up at 7 in the morning and ride? You cant tell me that any jet ski folks enjoy waking up at the ass crack of dawn to tear up your water... You will even get props by the fisherman who own the water that early... Thats how we have to do it here on the weekends because of the famalies come out in the afternoons to pull their children around on a tube. Dont get mad, they are trying to have family fun. I highly reccomend to wakesurf when the water gets brutal, or lean how to ride in a few chops... I bet you are the sort of guy that falls off when you cross your own wake and blames the driver. lake mayfield is great, everyone pulls their boats out at about 6:30 or so, so the water clears right up.. only thing that sucks is we ride near the dam, so when they let out water, all the cold ass water comes in and brings all the river debri with it... oh well.

Blake, Craig-R, getting up is def the only way to go......

Unless I am tuning my jetski then I am also out there at the crack of dawn.
The other day I had just redone my valves and cylinders on my Kaw. so I took it out Sat morning at 6:15 to get some radar runs, you should have seen the look on the wakeboard boats faces. They were like "son of a B" but since it's a stand up, and i was running her at full speed so there were no waves really

How dare somebody buy a watercraft and proceed to use it, then they have the nerve to come near your boat while you are boarding? I say just shoot them

We need to also ban motorcyles from the off road trails, they are constantly kicking up dust when I go 4x4ing, and its messing up my clean truck.

Does any of this sound ridiculous to you? You wakeboard, you should be able to handle some chop. Is butter the best? Yes. Can you ALWAYS have smooth water? no.

If you want a solution, make a billion dollars then go buy your own lake, otherwise learn to share the road, the water, and relax. Get mad for real reasons, like when they dont obey the rules of the water (like the lakes rotation, or safe following distances, or no wake zone violations etc) and also unless you are the police, dont try to be the police, it will just get everyone pissed off, yelling and eventually your ass kicked.

Now with that said, if you must rant, and then its out of your system and you are over it, do it here, not on the water..

mmmmm-k?

Have a nice day

jflo452, I'm slightly disturbed but I agree with you. People need to just deal with it or don't ride.

If you go boating, this will happen to you. Jeyt ski morons, or boat morons will come too close, go the wrong way, follow to close, cut you off, etc.

You can yell at em if you want, lord knows we all have, but really it gets you no where, so just pride yourself on being a better driver then they are, make sure you inform somebody who is about to drive your boat or your ski of the basic rules, dont come within 200 yards if you can help it (usually there is plenty of lake for everyone), and which way to drive and why. So many times (I am guilty too) I see this, friend show up at beach with jet ski's other friend has been waiting to try them out for the first time, whatever. After a quick lesson on how to start the ski, tehy take off......going the wrong way.

It is your responsability as the driver to inform the new driver of everythig, not just the basics.

last time we went out our buddy brough his waverunner. we drove the boat all slow for a while, letting him jump our waves. that way all the other skis see that our wake has been owned.

I bitch about people ripping up the smooth water too. I realize it's not my lake and live with it. What does piss me off is some people (tubers seem especially succeptable to this) come way too close and aren't watching what they're doing. This doesn't just screw up the water, it's also dangerous for your rider. I almost got run over last year. Dad pulling teenagers around, whipping the boat around and watching behind him and not in front of him (HELLLOOOO get a Bubb Rubbing spotter). I was sitting in the water, and he was 20' away when he realized he was about to run me over. I would have killed him had I had the chance.

Then the dude on the jetski that came within inches of cutting the line between the boat and my wife skiing. Looking down (not sure at what) hand on throttle, stopped just short of a very serious accident. At least that guy came up and apologized and left.

These days I'm not willing to risk it anymore. I ride early, and unless I can be fairly safe and can tell noone is acting like morons, I don't get in the water. It's not worth dying over.
