I have very good handle pass skill and plenty of time to do them. I can do a melon then, spin my 360 so it's kind of late. My problem is that I can make them not late. I start spinning almost at the apex of my jump. I know I have to start my spin earlier for a 5 but if I start early, I go
off-axis. It does the same thing with my toeside spin, I spin off-axis or I can get the handle. |

I have been working on 5s too ronik. They are just a 3 but with a harder pull of the rope to initiate the spin. My buddy does them pretty well and he spins just as late on his 5s as his 3s. Just take them a little bigger so you have more time. I think you are probably thinking too much and psyching yourself out about them, I have done that a few times. You really have more time than you think, just relax and do a 3 but with a harder pull. Try doing a couple threes and see how long you have after you finish your rotation before you land, that last 180 will spin pretty quick. Make sure and get the handle to that front hand and your home free. I have been popping the handle but super close, its driving me crazy.
P.S. land with a little weight on your toes. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |

| Try learning your 3s landing with two hands on the handle. Once your comfortable with that, learn your hs 180s doing it really late, almost late enough to make your faceplant, yanking hard with your back hand to spin quickly. Then combine them for the 540. |

The important part of getting the rotation is getting an extra bit of buck off the top of the wake. Push off a bit harder and be confident about making the spin. Keep the handle in the whole time and you'll get it. _________________ www.ten-80.com |

BelmontWake, makes a good point, Work on getting the other hand on the handle for the normal 3 so when you go for the 5 you just need to make sure the handle gets in the lead hand.
I found it was all about getting the handle back into the leading hand before you hit the water.
I would focus on the handle more than the spin. _________________ PEACE

I did like 5 360 in a row and then tried a 540 and landed it.
I'm very happy. Now I want to do the ts oa 540. I tried 2 and it did a kind of scarecrow or OLE 540. |
