Hey can anyone tell me the differences between a normal raley and a kicker raley. Like how the approach is different, the line tension difference, etc. Also, has anyone done them off a kicker without a pole/tower? How big should the kicker be minimum for a raley. How much height minimum should I be getting? Thanks. _________________ Go Big. Go Bigger. Bubb Rubb going home. |

Without a tower, the kicker can't be too big or too small. Maybe a little 3 or 4 footer at most. I don't really have any say seeing how I havn't done one but ye... It shouldn't be too much different than a normal raley. Keep the line tight and pull in by your hip.

Yeah my kicker isnt too big. Its about 3 or 4 feet like you said. The line should be tight, but don't you need a hard cut for that? _________________ Go Big. Go Bigger. Bubb Rubb going home. |

Cut in and go up the kicker diagnolly(sp) and at the top push off of your toes and allow your feet to release behind you and once you feel yourself closing in on the peak of your air pull the rope back in to your knees. Look at the sequence in my profile if you don't understand _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

You have to commit. Just edge up to the kicker pretty hard push off your toes off the top of the kicker and float out your legs. (Make sure when your pressing on your toes that you still kind of jump off so you get good height as well.) _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

Dude that sequence looks awesome! I could retire happy if I stuck a trick like that! (was it on a cable?)
I take it you edge like a mother for the bottom near corner of the kicker then go flat on the ramp and with all the built up speed from the hard edge approach accelerate off the top opposite edge and keep travelling out in that direction. Is that how you prevent getting a slack line and thus having nothing to pull yourself down with? _________________ Hasta la victoria siempre |

Yes it was on cable and no you dont have to edge that hard. The harder you edge the more likely you will go off the other side of the kicker and be really low to the water. As long as you have some edge and tension you should be alright. _________________ www.soswakeboard.com
