I used to own a 77 and I loved it, it had a super firm wake that was really steep, it really bucked you upwards. Some people had a hard time getting used to the wake because it was so steep, but once they got it they liked it. Honestly I think it makes a great wakeboardboat, but I thought mine sucked to ski behind, even at high twenties and low thirties the wake is good sized and feels like you are skiing into a curb. I had a ford 302 (most come with a ford 351) with 4 barrel holy carb and the engine ran great, it was a little finiky but new plugs, wires and points helped, I also installed a new alternator. Also you should get some lead additive to put in the gas, at least in 77 you did, the engines will run just fine with unleaded, but it is harder on the seals, at least thats what I was told.

Anyways I still ride behind the boat, it still runs great, the guy I sold it to maintains it pretty well, it has around 950 hours, thats kind of a guess, the hour meter didnt work when I bought it, it was stopped at around 850.
