I ride at 65-70 feet @ 22 or so MPH, although im sure my speedo is inaccurate.
Some pros ride at 85 or 90 feet at 26 or 28 mph. There was a recent thread about some pros getting pulled at 30. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

i ride 72 ft. @ 21 mph. sometimes i let it out to 75 depending on the depth of the lake and the ballast tanks....
....but yes, pros do ride really really fast. i rode with cobe mikisich, who was riding 82 ft. @ 24.5 mph, and it wasnt very gnarly looking at all. keith lyman rides at about 25 mph. i asked cobe why he rode so far out, and he said that it really helps with spin/flip tricks because you have alot more time in the air. i tried it and he's very right, plus you get more slack on the rope. |

Ride around 19-20 at like 65ft I think. What does riding faster with a longer rope do exactly? _________________ Trying to get into some wakeboarding photography, anyone out there in the Orlando area with some skills wanna hook up for a shoot? Drop me a pm, got a chase boat ready |

| I bet a lot of your speedos are waaayy off. I have an 05 VLX with PP and I had it set at 23.5. We calibrated my speedo with a GPS and my 23.5 is actually 21.5. That would explain why it felt so fast going 25 behind a X-2! |

I have always wondered how the length was calculated. Maybe I am overthinking this, but when someone says 75' is that 75' PLUS the length of the handle attachment? or Total? Also is that 75' from the REAR of the boat, or from where it attaches to the tower. I have a 2004 SAN and the rope attaches to the tower more in the middle of the boat then on some setups...
I ride a 70' line, with 5' Handle at 23mph (GPS Calibrated Perfect Pass...) So how far do I RWALLY ride? _________________ 2004 SAN-210 Team |

| 75 feet with 23mph, it's where the tow point is, now from the back of the boat. |

I ride between 22 and 25. Ride where the highest point of the wake is. Different boats produce different wakes. It all depends on where you're comfortable riding. _________________
