When did you try it, what kind was it, and did u land it or even come close?
I tried a backroll after this summer of wakeboarding (going out like every other day for like 20 min of riding). MY first attempt i got halfway around, and my second the board hit the water before I did . _________________ If the minimum wasn't acceptable it wouldn't be called the minimum. |

1996, hybrid back roll and tantrum, came close, but it wasn't until I did a pure tantrum that I landed it. _________________

| This year I tried some backrolls and a single frontroll. Unfortunately I didnt come close because I am a natural spinner and cant flip to save my life. The closest I got in about 10 attempts was parallel to the water or just about a 1/4 of the way around. I just cant figure it out. I kinda gave up on it for a while for spinning but I want to try more before the end of the season. |

I'm with LFADAM. I started trying inverts at the end of my first season, but to no success. Started trying again middle of the 2nd season, but actually started landing on the board at the end. Now I'm in my 3rd season, and I realized I am more of a natural spinner and can't flip If my life depended on it. Once I landed my first 360, I've been trying new stuff left and right though. Hopefully I'll get a ton of new tricks before 2006. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

I've been landing tantrums late this summer , and it took me about , eh , 12 tries im guessing , over a period of 3 months. Oh and ive been riding for 2 years on and off , but this is actually my first full summer , and its the first summer I've actually tried stuff and progressed. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

I tried my first invert (Backroll - August 2003) about 2 months after i started wakeboarding. My friends and I took a trip on a houseboat for my 21st bday and needless to say I was obliterated. Good thing we got it on tape cuz i don't remember any of it. I only made it 3/4 the way around on all of my attempts and the next day i woke up with a bruise from my hip almost down to my knee .
I didn't end up landing them consistently until the beginning of last year.
You guys make me jealous; I can't spin for crap and I wish I could. I either don't get the handle pass or I get the handle pass and am way off axis. I kept eating it hard so i gave up and went to inverts.
I still haven't landed a tantrum. I have a picture of me trying one last week and I don't know what my right hand is doing rofl. Somehow I rotate to fakie and I'm not sure why. I make it all the way around every time but I am just messing up the rotation somehow. So since I can't land a tantrum or a 360 i decided to try a whirlybird... I should post it so you can get a laugh. Here's a pic of my tantrum, if u have any suggestions PLZ let me know!

What I did for my first.. I'd let go and just flip and roll away. Then I tried it with a rope. I find backrolls are a lot easier to start with for me. I know some people who prefer front rolls going in heelside which is kind of odd. Well anyways good luck man _________________
