yeah my dad and I are trying to buy our first wakeboard specific boat and we are looking for something >$42,000 thats has high side walls and can handle rougher water. So far I've noticed the supras are really high boats but any suggestions would be helpful

Above $42k, the selection is endless. X-45 SS will run you about 90k, loaded, X-80 STS SS will run you about 120k loaded.

I dont know if its an option or not but a closed bow boat might be good for you seeing as a roller over the bow would just wash right off the sides.... and you would only take in very little water if any at all....

saltwater can do bad things to just about everything, but if you flush your motor for about 5 min and wash the boat down a little you wont have any more problems than an average boat that runs in fresh water.

You want to look into a boat that has a closed cooling option. I know MC has it, and I'm pretty sure Nautiques do. I'm not sure about Malibu, haven't heard anything. Closed cooling uses coolant instead of water to cool your engine. This is designed for use in salt water.

Like everyone else said, it does take a little more maintenance. Talk to a dealer, you'll want to apply some sort of silicon (forget the name) to all electrical components in the boat. (Any exposed metal on electrical connections). It prevents the salt air from corroding and screwing up your electronics. Additionally, you'll want to wash your boat and trailer with fresh water when you're finished to prevent any corrosions. Trailer is very important! You don't want to lose break lines, axles, bearings, etc.

On the note of trailers. If your buying a boat, spring for the tandem axle trailer. Our 03 x2 rides on a single axle trailer and it pretty much drives the car

I don't know if this has been brought up or not yet, I'm too lazy to read all the posts. But malibu has a salt water flush kit as an option in their boats. This was only an option starting in '05 but i'm not sure if they can be put in older boats or not.
