Johnny Cash is one of the all time great songwriters IMO.

folsom prison blues is definitely up there on my list
I never liked the popular "ring of fire"; didn't really tell a story like his other songs.

I grew up 15 minutes from Folsom Lake and the Prison is just on the other side of the Dam.
