k-wood - i was more referring to this post by ohio wake 2008. Im just glad we solved the whole "ive typed more names of tricks that I can do, so clearly i must be the better human being, and you don't even deserve to ride" thing. thats not what wakeboarding is all about.
if you dont agree and you think thats what it IS all about then you should take up a sport thats overrun with kooks. i.e. rollerblading. _________________ Mark Kenney, 1983-2002

K-wood Kid, blacking out happens a lot... 2 people on my boat blacked out in one week a few weeks ago. i was going to write a lot more but this is really lame to argue on a forum about wakeboarding. wakeboarding isn't about proving something, it's about havin fun. peace out. _________________ signatures are lame |

what are you talking about blacking out? Also if people are blacking out just sitting there without someone choking them out or falling really hard something might be wrong with them or they are inhaling to many fumes from the back of your boat or just got too drunk _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

Dude blacking out is a big deal. You can drowned if you black of face down or you can retain mental damage. If you dont think its a big deal you are retarded. _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

QNev, the only ones that ive had really hurt are where your head is what hits the water hardest.... or if your knees hit each other when you fall they can get pretty bruised up. _________________ signatures are lame |

| ohio_wake_2008, trick lists dont mean anything. You can do a TS Roll 2 blind but not some basic trick. (I forget which one, it was a while back) I know people who can backroll and cant clear the wake TS or alafiaboarder who landed a TS 5 as his first big trick. |

QNev, ya just go for it.... drive at whatever speed you usually go. i usually ride at around 24 although im not sure how accurate our speedometer is. the more aggressive you are, the quicker the trick will be completed. the more tension and resistance you have on your board when you hit the wake, the faster your board will kick back. i think the big thing on this trick is - the only thing to fear is fear itself. if you go into this trick on a half-ass effort b/c your afraid youll prolly Bubb Rubb up... if you dont get fully extended it makes it a lot harder to pull yourself back down which is what a lot of people seem to do when theyre afraid (not get fully extended). when you get fully extended, i think it feels pretty natural to come back down, there's kind of a rythm to it.
and i dont remember what all i wrote on this thread but i guess you do get hurt on this trick. it's a pretty big strain on the body even if you land it. ive gotten hematosas learning it, blacked out, broke my board, cracked my bindings, and now i just pulled a stomach muscle doing a raley lol. i was just kinda lucky learning it cuz it wasnt that painful. but ya, this trick can be rough. but its gota be the coolest feeling in the world to be extended and then pull it back down, i cant wait til this stomach thing gets better so i can start doin raleys again. _________________ signatures are lame |
