Hey guys my dad just bought a boat earlier this week and i was deciding between skiing and boarding, and i picked boarding. I picked up a hyperlite because i heard it was good and i got a pretty good deal on one. I just wanted to ask (never rode before) if the boot is supposed to be very hard to get on, and extemely snug/tight when on. I know i dont want to fall out but i dont wanna lose circulation either. Would skateboarding help with this sport at all, because i used to be somewhat serious. Thanks for any replies, i really appreciate it and i hope to learn more soon!!

Bought a pair of ERA's a month ago, they were so tight when I first got them I thought I had the wrong size. Had to use lube to get them off when I was done. Have used them 3 weekends now and they are finally breaking in right. You should be fine. Give them some time to stretch out.

And is it better to use lube to get in and have a very tight fit or to have a bigger binding with easier movement in/out. Also....a 134 should be ok for me (160 lbs and about 5'10). Dicks sporting goods said its the "standard" size.

Bindings will break in over time and loosen up. You can also use tennis balls, soda cans or even wine bottles to shape them and/or loosen them up a bit. If they are loose at first that is not good... because they will only get looser with time. You want to stay in those bindings unless you take a really bad digger. One foot in and one foot out is as bad/dangerous as it gets.
