| pull in with both hands first, grab and rotate at the same time, pass the handle, and land. im guessing you're trying a HS 3. the pop for this 3 should be more like ollying off the wake so it takes you straight up. |

When you go for the Mute grab try to advance over the handle off the wake. Meaning you still need to pull in to get the spin going but when you pull your legs up in front of you try to make sure the handle is down under your butt. Almost off axis style in the air but not on the take off.
When I do the Mute 3 I try to make sure I'm getting my grab on right before I'm looking away from the boat.
I started with melon 3's first cuz the hand is already on the back side of the board so right after the grab (wich you can do super early on this) all you have to do is lift your hand up for the handle. more one fluid motion for me.
The Mute 3 is more like a two step process, for me anyway. _________________ PEACE

| I was trying Nose 3s today and the grab is RIGHT there! I noticed that when I did them I was geting my hand within like 4 inches of the board so I just gapped the 4 inches and got the grab super easily and rotated fine, now if only that handle wasnt so slippery! |

Kwake, Try them off the double up. Its easier to get the grab in and feel for how you have to pull the handle in. Once you do a couple off a DU, you'll get them off the wake no prob _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

Ive always wanted to do 3s off the double up but Ive never had them consisent. Ive hit my last 3 d up attempts so maybe I will but Im never ready for the boot. Its so crazy, I just blink....see the third roller...blink...See the second wake 6 feet below my board...blink....impact. I usually cant even get a grab because Im a deer in the headlights when I get up there.
intotheflats, do 3s feel any different off the D up? |
