Definitely like the Absolute Platinum now that I have seen it.
Notice the VERY SHINY bottom on the Transcend simply named the "Speedbase". Apparently, this was not so easy to do.
Got in to the Zeus with no lube dry footed.
Could have gotten my head inside of the Torq.
I would quite honestly say that the hinge bindings are MORE solid than traditional bindings.
The Sapphire has ribbons of foil running lengthwise throughout - you have to look close as the camera didn't pick it up well.
The Pure is just sick, top & bottom.
The Factor has really seperated itself from the Tattoo. Sizes are 136 & 144 for this year.
The Flames are insanely sweet - NUFF SAID!!!!
The Absolutes (not plat) is much better looking in person.
The Transcends (not plat) is also much better looking, pretty damn sweet if you ask me.
If you have questions, feel free to ask.
(PS: the cameraman sucks, cut him some slack!) _________________

chavez,
Have you ridden with the bindings? Looks like they are moving toward ski/snow boot bindings? Doesn't look like the buckles are adjustable or I'm I missing something? How about comfort for wide feet?
That looks like the best binding system I've seen and a giant move to the right direction (IMO). Can't wait to see or buy a pair.
Nice cross! _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

| Icap, what is cool about the hinge is that it just locks the heel into place. You still have laces to make the wrap secure. The buckles aren't adjustable but like traditional lace bindings you can tighten/loosen as needed. |

| The boards look 110% better in person...last week i got the opportunity thanks to my friend who is the product manager, to go up to CWB in Lynwood and see all the brand new 06 boards, bindings and watched them make them. It was amazing!! The marius is frikin rediculous, the way the design it is so amazing. It is so wide from tip to tail with the V shaped hull, its crazy. The absolute platinum and Transcend look awesome too. They look so much different in person. They really upped the quality on the bindings with the buckling back on the zeus and the boss i believe that have it. They open up so nice and wide so you can slip your foot in easily. CWB is steppin up huge |

| Just a question about the zeus. Does it have a rubber strap across the ankle like the previous versions? This was the main reason I bought them in the first place. Just curious because I want to upgrade. |

Nice pics. Really dig the simple graphics. Wish some of the other board companies would follow suit. Not sure how I feel about the bindings though. Would probably have to try them, but that metal(?) hinge doesn't seem like the best design. Keep imagining that getting caught on something or scarring the back of the boat.
So, I'm very familiar with CWB boards. Assume that is the Pure (white bottom / black top)? How deep are the molded-in fins on that board? |

thanks for the pics -- looks like I'll have to hold off on buying a used board. And by the way -- please replace that Grand Marnier with the 100 or 150 year old stuff |

| The boards look way sicker in person i know the Product manager of CWB so he gives me really good deals!!! the 06 boards look really sweet the Marious (i think thats how i spell it) is really wide and thin at the ends. i was talking to him and asking him if the pro riders switched to this board they all did but Andrew and Zane because thay have thier own boards but its supposed to be awesome. The lever in the back of the zues's is judt so u can get in a lot easier!! it opens up nice and wide |

lcap, my feet are pretty wide, and they fit perfect. The cross is NOT mine haha, these pics are at my buddy's house.
CaM2816, totally agreed. The "graphics" shots that were previously put online were just that - graphics only. That is why I wanted to make sure to get some actual pics - so everyone could see how the graphic layed down on the textalium.
Will, yes sir, rubber strap is still there. Really holds your stuff in place.
pjdave, CWB has ditched the X-Star for the much more simple approach this year. They asked that we take the catalog shots in a kitchen, using a crappy camera. We shall see how that one is going to play out.
buckshot, the Pure is the same as last year with a new topsheet & bottom. I'm guessing but I think the Pure (03 Absolute) has about a .75" molded. Oh, and as far as the hinge hitting the back of the boat: 1. Your board is gonna hit first; and, 2. you won't need to struggle to get into the bindings, so you probably won't be squirming around trying to get them on (which is when I always bang the back of the boat).
elyse, triple density, with a new top that is really quite comfortable. The specs on the Absolute and Transcend haven't changed much, just the construction elements.
You may want to check out that Sapphire. It is NOT the same as the Pure, even though they share the shape. The internal construction is on par with the "Pro Models" and has a completely different flex pattern than the Pure. Obviously, the Marius is a solid choice as well if it suits your style. _________________

I forgot to mention - the cable on the Hinge is adjustable, something we didn't realize until we noticed the threading where it connects to the baseplate. _________________

is the sapphire more stiff than the Pure or vice-a-versa?
i ride the 03 asbolute now, and am considering keepin with it (but with the newer board)... outside of pickin up the 06 abs plat or flames. _________________ www.under360.com |

Jeffro, I would surmise that it is stiffer than the Pure given the more robust build process.
The Flames are sick as hell. Such a great look on an already great shape. _________________

I believe I just found my '06 gear
That transend is bad ass.
Are those bindings comfy? The only CWB bindings I ever rode was like 4 years ago and they where the worst. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

ballywho, thats the Abs Platinum.
matt1808, we didn't take any closer shots - probably wouldn't have turned out well anyways due to the lighting. The bottom of the Abs is the same as last year, with a different graphic. Only the top was modified for 06.
intotheflats, they are smooth where they need to be, and grippy where they need to be. The footbeds are ultra plush. In other words, hell yes they are comfortable frow what my foot has experienced so far. _________________

Enzoborder230, fit me good, but I have low arches. I would have to say they are not heavily pronounced like in some "other" bindings. _________________

Do you have any more info on the Factor. Is it the same shape as the Tatoo/Old Prodigy just stretched or is it a totally new shape? Any more pics you could post of it would be excellent.
I have been riding this board and the newer Prodigy for teh last 4 years. Looking forward to riding or trying out this one. |

Pratt, basically the same as the Tattoo, they just stretched it to meet demand for bigger boards.
The Factor 144 is now the largest (wake)board in the CWB stable.
I would say it and the Tattoo were more a blend of elements from the Prodigy and the Absolute. Quite honestly, it is probably one of the most forgiving boards in the line. _________________
