I can go w2w but I just can't get very good pop I edge into the wake and try to stand tall before leaving it but whenever I do stand tall I just end up flattening off and crashing.

About as usefull as a d*ck flavored lolly pop...

Is this HS or TS? What you are basically doing, is standing tall obviously, and losing your edge. (your weight is transfering forward a bit) What you need to do, is try really hard to stand tall and lean back at the same time just a bit. You might have to cut just a tad harder at the end of your progressive edge.

What I have observed from students in our school, they cut hard up until the wake, and then just stand tall. Which in turn, gives them the distance, but not the "pop" as you described. If you have to, try this: When you cut out, and start your progressive edge, edge as hard as you can through the wake, but keep your legs bent. You are going to pretty much get like a foot or two of air, but you are going to get the feel of edging through the wake.

One last thing we have students do is take the fins of the board. By taking the fins off the board, this too makes it where you have to "work" your edge. Just try one of the two things mentioned and you should have it within 3 sets!

By standing up, or tall, whichever you want to say, keeps your knees out of the picture. And leaning back is to promote holding your edge through the wake and landing on your edge! That simple!

*EDIT* DONT BEND YOUR KNEES AT ALL!

no u got it all wrong,Blake, was helping him correct his edging problems. when you stand up and lean back u hold ur edge and ur knees dont absorb the pop, i think ur making this harder on yourself than it should be.

The proper body postion is croucked w/ a low center of gravity craving in then as you reach the top of the wake stand up to keep yourself from absrobing the wake.

Or, if you want to be super fly, you can search by clicking this: http://forums.wakeboarder.com/search.php , and type in any sort of question you have... Trust me, these sort of things have been hashed out many of time I am certain!
