I am working on HS W2W and trying to figure out how to get more pop...have this posted in "Newbie Forum" and suggestions are to stand tall at the wake so pop is not absorbed in my knees. Anything else I should work on?

You just need to stand tall, and hold that position. Your legs are relatively straight when you're coming into the trough, but in the video once you ride up the wake you see that your knees are absorbing the wake and getting sucked up towards your chest.

You want to hold the position you have in the trough of the wake, and then stand taller even, right when you get to the top of the wake. It would also help if you leaned a bit more on the line to create more tension on the rope, because once you stand tall it will release and pop you up even more.

Start close to the wake, take small cuts to learn how to 'feel' the pop. Then start taking it bigger and bigger.

ontrider, thanks for the tips. Will try try hold the tall position and not absorb the pop.

When you say lean on the line to creat more tension, that's leaning directly along the line away from the boat?

thx

Yep, leaning against the line (pulling against the boat) creates tension and pressure on your edge and against your board. So you're pushing against the water, when you hit the top of the wake and release all the energy, the water pushes back which pops you up.
